DeChaine has to be one of the top instructors I've ever listened to in regards to bass fishing. Just a class act. Amazing video.

You guys posting these northern videos makes my day!!! Please put together a playlist of your awesome northern vids because KZbin only lets me scroll a couple of years down and they are very difficult to find... awesome content!

That's a great playlist idea EG Outdoors! We may consider doing something like this for the core bass fishing regions of the country.
@bassandgrass5674 жыл бұрын
Wired2Fish you definitely should! The bass in the north act so much different than other regions of the country and it would be awesome to have all the resources in one place. This is the best bass fishing channel on yt so thank you guys!

I use a H Anura from sixgillfishing for frogging. It’s 7’5” and slams on hooksets. I punch,frog and big jig on it.

Will that rice survive after water drawdown and blazing Texas summers. My pond fluctuates about 7' every year and I wanted to plant it on my flats. If it seeds before June it may reseed before it's on dry land.

Hi James, from what I understand, wild rice is susceptible to dying or doing poorly when there are large fluctuations in water level. That said, I'm no expert. -Ryan

I saw that it didn’t look like you were “walking” the frog. Is it really necessary to walk ?
@r.barefoot83864 жыл бұрын
Agreed. You really don’t need to walk it, but it’s good to know how. Like any lure, mastering different retrieve styles adds to the versatility of the bait. Sometimes they’re in the mood for a walking frog, other days they’re not. Good thing is you can work a frog many different ways.

Hi Matthew, the boys covered this one well. I do like a side-to-side walking the dog action to my frog, particularly when fishing it through holes, but there isn't a need to strive for it throughout the entire retrieve. Here's my basic criteria: 1) walking a frog slows your retrieve speed so I don't work on achieving it when I'm trying to cover water and breakdown a lake as quickly as possible. 2) I will work on walking the frog around high-percentage spots (weed clumps, isolated wood, docks, holes in grass, misc.) as it's a proven fish-catching action.

@@r.barefoot8386 man, so many youtube pros! You guys must be watching a lot of googan squad videos!
@glenndaugherity61874 жыл бұрын
Just wanna say I love your videos but why can’t you do a double screen so we can see the frog get hit instead of always just seeing the guy set the hook.
@Wired2Fish4 жыл бұрын
Fair enough question. We were fun fishing, rolling looping on GoPros for those fish catches (filmed on the weekend). Used them as b-roll to support the teaching points. We often use a camera operator but don't always have the luxury of a guy zoomed in and following a topwater bait.
