Very important note about Non-Denouement as an alternative is that it has an Adept version which means you can get it down to 540 Draw Time thanks to the Adept Draw Time mod, in addition Bungie made a change this year where the more weapons from a raid you can craft the more perks the adepts can drop like you'd normally see on a playlist weapon with multiple resets, it's an absolute game changer that makes me actually want an Adept version over the crafted version for that 9/5 godroll. (Even for PvE since with Spec Mods getting baked in that frees up the mod slot for any of the other stat boosts I would want.) One of my Adept Bow drops legit has 3 perks in both the left and right columns since I speedran crafting most of the raid weapons by hoarding all my Deepsight Harmonizers from last season and throwing them all towards the raid, so Raid Adepts are definitely way more likely to give you a combo you want now.

Another note is that the nightfall solar bow can also get archers gambit, although it can't get hip fire grip. The best 3rd column perks for pvp would probably be opening shot or archers tempo. Since it's a nightfall weapon, it can also use adept mods and it's solar so it can combo with gunpowder gamble.

You don't actually need the reload string, archer's gambit will give you reload too! So you don't even need any loaders on your gauntlets either.

Why is bows ttk so tied to its perks and exotics ? Its the only weapon that is like that. And even so, it was nerfed to the ground, am still baffled about the nerf. Its purpose was to kill every bow user in the game.

So many bow users were crutching on the double bodying. The nerf just showed who can actually aim with one and who can’t. TTK is tied to reload, draw speed, and the animation scalers for both. It’s the only weapon in the game that required a full reload to secure a kill so it’s important. It also gives bungie another release valve for when bows inevitably work their way back into the meta.

Bows are built that way because bungie threw bows in during forsaken just to give us something new. The overall balance of the weapon type wasn't considered when it was created. That's why people ignored them in pve and in pvp with no changes they suddenly went from completely ignored to the most complained about thing with no buffs in between. The people that piss and moan that they do too much damage in a single shot so they're too effective at peek shooting and team shooting are the same ones that crutch igneous and meta 140s to do the exact same playstyle so bungie hasn't got a clue on how to balance bows alongside hand cannons without pissing off who they perceive as their core pvp fanbase: the people who use the same meta loadouts every season that never get properly balanced yet they're the quickest and the loudest people to complain when anything gets slightly more use than hand cannon + shotty and hand cannon + meta sniper (like beloved). Bows could very easily have been balanced without getting nuked in a way that you need another tool to clean up if you don't have 100% crit ratio with them but in bungies eyes despite what they said in the blog posts and on podcasts it was easier to nerf them so hard 90% of people who actually liked them will gravitate to something else then it was to actually balance the sandbox properly.

I have archers tempo and hipfire with archers gambit roll. If as you say ADS and let go just before shooting, surely no need for hipfire grip. You get the second shot with the 2 archers perk active. Fast af.

Archer’s Gambit also buffs your reload speed apparently, so you will prefer Fiberglass over the reload arrows.

Playing hundreds of games of Gambit just to get a bow, which by the way is statistically worse than the raid bow in every way, just because of one fairly niche solar aspect that synergizes with it. Snark aside, I did put in some Gambit reps early into the season without even fully deciding what I want to chase yet, but I'm not even close to being as dedicated as you and some others are lol (have only done 2 resets during that double infamy week).

Probably Beserker on Lion Rampants with thread of ascent grapple, or Khepri horn exotic on Drengr Lash Beserker. Maybe a Beserker grapple melee ACD build (but that’s probably more oriented towards a swashbuckler roll). There’s also the exotic class item Abyant/Khepri with drengr lash/knockout.

Use DIM's randomize loadout feature and if it lands on void you have a competitive loadout, just replace the armors with higher stated ones and the weapons with your choices of guns

The meta for titan hasn't really shifted other than bubble being nerfed. You still have aspects like knockout to bail you out for bad gameplay and stuff like one eyed mask and feedback fences that work well with it. I've seen people going back to antaeus wards and Juggernaut together this season so they can just ape. I've also seen alot more P. Strike shoulder charge builds. Honestly with the loin rampant buffs I'd say that's the safest thing for easy games if you can learn the playstyle since alot of what people are running into and complaining about is hunters camping and putting smokes, threaded specters, and swarm grenades everywhere on top of the complaining about still hunt so just playing on the ground and/or running into lanes in 3v3 just gets you killed. You can play off angles really effectively with lion rampant now if you're willing to put the time in. People have been getting really ballsy with the unbreakable aspect too so that's worth trying. Using it to get a risky rez or forcing back an aggressive shotgunner kinda plays. Titan definitely still has a bunch of free stuff in pvp so just do a little testing and see what works for you. Bungie isn't gonna properly balance anything so abuse whatever you think is the easiest and most fun for you.

to answer your question without the m&k salt, you can definitely make archers gambit work but you really need to get good with the ADS > release > shoot that cam mentioned. Ngl you will have a harder time using this setup- it's already kinda tough to make work on m&k and since you only really start getting all the good aim assist sauce when you ADS... Yeah its a tough sell
