I think maybe 4 hours is enough 😄 it also depends how much time you have in Kyushu. If you have time and going from Fukuoka, a slow day trip like mine can be relaxing!

Do you need to reserve seats or separate tickets for the limited express train?

@@pearlycchels I bought the 3 days kyushu JR pass so it is included. Still have to reserve for the seats though! If you reserve in advance online you had to pay about 1500-2000 yen? I cannot remember the cost of it sorry. But I did not reserve it online. I made the reservation at Hakata Station JR service counter, but try to do it in advance or as early as you can because the seats run out very quickly.
