Great work, have you decided or detailed which projects you will hire out?

Not exactly but I believe the electrical and plumbing will have to be done by professionals. I will do pre-work and assist them in any way possible.

@@housemarche perfect . We just this month our electric replaced on two of the three floors. The cost was reasonable. The plumbing was done earlier by the same individual.

Also would be very interested as to how you selected the region and the house. Was your search extensive?

The region of Le Marche is home to one side of my wife's family. After living here for 10 yrs and having visited many other regions, I still prefer to live here. We have all the beauty of central Italy but without the over tourism and high prices of Tuscany. Searching for homes in Italy can be frustrating. I found many realtors don't have exclusivity agreements with the sellers so they intentionally list the homes in ways that don't identify the location and lack good photos. This means a lot of driving around to meet with agents. I searched for about a year and saw a lot of properties before finding my tower house.

@@housemarche Been there done that. My grandparents were from Fano. Short visit in May. Next year, I look forward to a tour and a moretta. We are on the castle wall in Montemaggiore al Metauro.
