Her biggest contribution was Oblivion, though she only has one role in Skyrim. While Sir Patrick Stewart's voice stands out as Emperor Uriel Septim, I did not realise Sean Bean was Martin during my first playthrough. He really softened his accent and doesn't project near as much as Borormir or Sharpe.

It's always cool when a celebrity returns to a series later. The pay rate for video game VAs is pretty low compared to TV and Film, so it feels more like a personal thing, rather than something they're doing for the money.

Outlaw Golf also was released on PC and had a unique feature called a composure meter. If you did well your composure would increase and it would get a little easier (you could hit farther, etc.). If you did poorly and your composure dropped it would get more difficult. You could give your composure a boost by beating up or humiliating your caddy.

I think many people enough about the Saints Row one, not that it's a "subpar GTA ripoff." Not just that, but slightly lesser known actress Eliza Dushku from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, was in Saints Row 2 as (the real, actually likeable) Shaundi, and video game streamer Sasha Gray (yeah, let's just go with that) is Viola DeWynter in Saints Row the Third and actually does a good job in it, too.

Yeah, that was a bit odd. Same thing happens with 'Not Ping'. She disappears with no explanation, but then turns up in one of the DLCs as Wey's girlfriend. Still love the game, though, and wish it'd gotten a sequel!

Dishonored 1 had an impressive voice cast that was somewhat miss used. I remember in my first playthrough coming across an old homeless lady at the end of one of the early missions that I didn’t really think much of until I got to the credits and discovered she was voiced by Susan Sarandon. Second playthrough I payed a bit more attention to the side missions and discovered a whole other story involving her character having a grudge against one of the mobster characters in Dunwall, and culminated in a boss fight with her character before the actual end of the game. All of this is easy missed if you just make one decision to not do a certain side mission in the early parts of the game. This how is not the worst use of a celebrity voice actor in the game. That honour goes to Carrie Fisher who voices the alternate Dunwall announcer. Throughout the game there is a male announcer giving updates on what’s going on in the Dunwall over PA speakers all over the city. At some point you can interact with that character who is doing these announcements and if you choose to kill him he will then be replaced for the rest of the game by Carrie Fisher. Bizarre.

Lol Carrie Fisher was just a cameo easter egg. For me, that emergent storytelling is the best part of Dishonored, where so many characters are just getting on with their lives and you may or may not fully engage with or even find them. An actual misuse for me, is that in the second game they have Sam Rockwell as the first “target,” but there’s no way for you to interact with him beyond the first part of the first mission, and he doesn’t do much even in that mission. Aside from the opening cut scenes, he’s around for like 10 minutes max.
