What do you think of this introduction, the question is "How successful was reform of industry and agriculture 1953-64" "Between 1953 to 1964, after Khrushchev came into power, extensive reform of industry and agriculture took place. How successful these reforms were, remains open to debate. There was considerate success in some aspects, but a lack of it in others. Below, i will be evaluating these successful aspects alongside the failures, to determine my view on how successful it was overall."

Hi, you’ve set out the context well but I would advise you to offer a definition of success and give your overall argument with a basis. Have a look at my video on introductions which should hopefully clarify it - kzbin.info/www/bejne/haGrd3enaLF0l7csi=XDZxSJpOJFBkHOj3

my teacher has always advised to do 4 mai body paragraphs, does it matter whether you do 3 or 4.?
@mrgunnhistory2 жыл бұрын
It doesn't matter - the mark scheme doesn't specify how many paragraphs an essay should be. Sometimes, four paragraphs can work well. However, I would argue that three is probably a safer bet for the following reasons; 1) That there may not always be four factors for all essays (there usually is three). 2) Four may not allow for the depth of evidence needed for L5. 3) You may not have time in exam conditions to write three x four paragraph essays (as you need to do in Paper 1 and Paper 3). However, if you have practised doing four paragraphs and are confident in doing so, go for it!
