The Sbarro definitely didn't have a Porsche v6, and the 928 didn't have a v6 option either. The porsche engine in the challenge 2 and 3 is a 911 turbo (930) engine.

0:41 i drove this exact car for Gerald Weighert in the early 2000's. We had a photo shoot around Vector HQ in Wilmington CA. Although it wasnt under its own power. We were towing it with a forklift and you were able to see the cable that came out from under the front bumper in the video. Fun times.

According to Wikipedia, there were 3 iterations of the Challenge. The first one had a V8 derived from the Mercedes 500SE with added IHI turbos, the second one had a Porsche 3.2l flat-six (not a V6!), the third one had a modified Porsche flat-six with a slightly higher displacement of 3.3l.

@@motorbilityy Nooo. It’s been sat idle for a good few years. And had a new clutch and master cylinder installed. Needs new door rubber seals and a full service and some cosmetic works. Possibly some new tyres too. Then hopefully back for an MOT and we should be good to go. 😊

Too bad the Vector W's weren't included. Unfortunately the W2 was built in the late 70's the W8 was introduced in '89 but I think didn't start production until '91. I was working the aucion circuits in SoCal '79-'82 and saw Weigert and the car at a few shows. It was a bad motorscooter for sure.

I suspect that the Ferrari 408 4RM may have been conceived by ferrari as a way of investigating the possibility of entering the world rally championship under the then planned Group S formula, which was scheduled to take the place of group b in 1987. Ferrari had been extremely close too perfecting their own group b rally car based on the 288 (which would evolve into the F40) and had planned to enter competition in mid '86. But then a a bunch of really bad things happened leading to group b ending and group s being canceled in favor of the entirely production based group a in 1987.

The Lister was a whole lot of expensive ugly. If the 2 seats in back weren't a deal breaker a Mustang GT or Cobra made the TVR 450 a bad choice. The challenge 3 supercar with a V6 disqualifies it for a supercar even in the 80's. The Zender fact 4 would have been a widow maker at 2600 lbs 450hp and 5 speed manual trans.

Maybe a little less drugs and a little more research and you know that porch never made a V6 engine. The 928 had a 4.5 liter V8 and then was later upgraded to a 5.4 l V8.
