fun fact about TWICE and NiziU: .TWICE isn't a Jpop group, they are a Kpop group. Although they have some japanese members and songs, they're Kpop . NiziU debuted under a Kpop company (JYP ENTERTAINMENT)but it's official they are are Jpop .NiziU and TWICE are under the same company

To be Kpop, groups have to at least have some korean lyrics per song and to promote mainly in Korea. There's no more to say, Niziu had the 'Kpop' system but they aren´t.

Twice is a fully Kpop group. Yes it has Japanese songs, But that doesn't make it JPop, it's the song that's jpop not the group. It's under a Kpop Entertainment. It's indeed very popular in Japan but it's not JPOP.

Overall my top 5 favorites are: 1. AKB 48 and Nogizaka 46 tied for first. These two groups are the foundation for me and my favorite girl groups ever. Great discography with an amazing variety of songs, really charismatic members and underrated and impressive vocalists with beautiful harmonies and some truly beautiful solo songs too 3. Keyakizaka 46 impressive group which is now Sakurazaka 46 with many if not most of the same members 4. Hinatazaka 46 formed out of the members of Keyakizaka 46 and also impressive 5. Morning Musume kind of the foundation big idol jpop group impressive too and still going strong after more than 20 years.
