I have a scooter that is a Harley. Back then it was caller a 'Topper'. Look it up. I amso have three single cylinder Harleys, 125cc, 165cc, and 250cc. The 125 was called a Hummer and that is what Harley wanted you to start with. Great fun bike, two stroke. The 165 was called the Scat, or Super 10. Again, two stroke. The 250 was called a Sprint and was made by Aeromacci of Italy. Super fun bike. four stroke. All of these bikes are pre 1968.

With 'premium' finishes, bigger engines and added hardware it's doubtful Harley has made their line-up any more affordable. The bikes look good and desirable to own yet the new price points will drive most of the younger riders back to the Asian market.

Sometimes progress worked. I rode a Buehl Sport Touring model in the mid 90s & loved it. I had owned a pretty nice semi custom Sportster & had a semi custom 90 FXR, both with some engine work to compare to. Later had a 96 Road King then a 90 FLTCU "Tour Glide", the parent of the Road Glide. The FLTCU was my favorite for cruising(I was an "Iron Butt") but the FXR was the all around favorite. FXR had a 21" billet front wheel & if I were to do it over again, I'd have changed the triple trees & put a short fat tire & wheel on for better handling. Big diameter wheel makes them "lazy" transitioning from turn to turn.

I bought my bike new 30 years ago . In that amount of time I have had dealings with several dealerships. They are all alike , they will rob you, lie to you and cheat you on top of doing sloppy work. Thanks to UTUBE I’m learning how to work on it myself. I put a new rear tire on last week and discovered that whoever worked on that wheel the last time messed up the threads on the wheel adjuster and they just let it go out the door like that

I do like Harley's, but they have lost a bit of the "spirit" of yesteryear (maybe that applies to all motorbikes) in exchange for better performance and a smoother ride. Understandable, of course, but a bit of a shame for someone who likes "old school machines" (well, I still can go for a Duo Glide Panhead, of course). Of the new Harley 2023 models in this video, I think the Breakout looks the best. As for all the more expensive Harley models, the temptation is high of course ... but I still think I will go for a BMW R18 in that case. There is something about the R18 that charms me immensely.

They’re nice….too expensive compared to other bikes. I had a 2008/2009 Street Bob, it was nice. But I’ve really fell in love with the Indian Scout Rogue…I took one for a spin today. I’m buying it. First thing I’m doing is replacing the exhaust though. Plus it’s light and really maneuverable. I’m not saying I don’t like Harley, I’ve owned one. I like the Indian Scout Bob also…I fell in love with the Indian lineup. Harley is pricing themselves out. I can buy one but why ? Especially when the scout rogue and Bob look better, lighter and enough power compared to bikes in that category with Harley. Plus they’re less expensive and you get everything you get with Harley. I used to think owning a Harley was the end all be all and wouldn’t own anything else. Now I just don’t care. I might buy the Scout Bob also, not sure. I also like the Triumph Street Bob also….that’s pretty damn sweet. When I get good enough on a bike and I want a huge bagger, I will look at Harley again (maybe). I had a long layoff of riding bikes and I’m excited to get back in the saddle again. I missed it….glad I’m getting it before the summer ends here in New York also. Peace ✌🏻

All Harley is now is the name, a ridiculously overpriced name. Get a Challenger when you’re ready to step it up, damn near same performance while having the luxury of a bagger. I absolutely love my Challenger Dark Horse, just traded in my Scout recently. I thought I liked my Scout but I’m absolutely in love 😂 with the Challenger. Indian is K I L L I N G it!

This look is all for the European market. The look was popular in the US 10+ years ago. Basically Harley has sold out to the Euro market. Fuck MOCO. I'll keep my oldie
