Ed was such an innovator. He took his self built guitar on stage and blew the doors off of every venue he played, showing folks things they’ve never heard before. There’s never gonna be another.

I remember when VH 1 hit the air waves in march of 78', it instantly stood out as something special and different. They lost me at 1984 but those Roth era years were some of the best music made by anyone.

Totally relate. They were two different bands.......1 hungry, innovative and raw, and another, commercialized reigned in and kinda meh.

My favorite guitarists Eddie Van Halen, Jeff Beck, Randy Rhodes, Tony Iommi, Ace . Just working on an old article in Guitar Magazine about Eddie's Style. I even made our mail box an EVH 📬 Mail Box . Awesome 😎 Video... Thanks So much for the video. Eddie was definitely one of my inspirational players in the mid & late 70s in Junior High School.. Cheers 🍻 🥃🥃 🎸 🎵🎶🎶🎶

You know I spent years figuring out how to do Eddies stuff, I mean years, now we have KZbin to show everyone how to do it, my feelings are, if you won't take the time to learn it by trial and error on your own, it shouldn't be shown to everyone, I never had anyone showing me how to do it, it shouldn't be shown how to do it.
@2thdoctom5 ай бұрын
There have been opportunities for players to learn this stuff way before KZbin, man. Tab was created to learn EVH’s licks, then on VHS and DVD’s. The more generations learn it, the more we’ll hear his influence in music. No reason to be bitter, you earned those skills and even if they see a video it will take a respectable amount of effort to replicate it. 🤘🏻
