I have finally gotten my sister out of tent dresses. I showed her a side by side of herself wearing clothes that are fitted versus shapeless pieces. She was instantly sold. (I do understand that she wants to hide her size and feel comfortable so we’re working on it).

She’s lucky to have you to encourage her! It is a process for sure for all of us especially when our weight changes. That’s why I always talk about clothes that fit well. If they’re not tight and not baggy, but just fit your body properly, they will be more flattering no matter what your size. So glad your sister was able to see the difference in the pictures.

I would love it if we could see the cute (after) version of those outfits. I know you show a lot of good outfits in other videos, but side by side would great. Wear ‘this’ instead of ‘this’. (you did mention better outfits but without the visual)

This video was very helpful. You modeling these clothes really makes a difference. I have a figure similar to yours and the same coloring as you, my legs are not as thin as yours. I am going to go through my closet; and videos like this really help me know what to get rid of. The pink "Aunt Bea" suit made me laugh out loud. It definitely made you look decades older than you are. I am in my 60s, but I look like I am much younger. Very helpful video. Thank you.

12:20 Floral tunics and bermudas used to be my "go-to" outfit. Aggggh! My daughter said I looked frumpy and I never knew why. After I banished them a couple years ago, I understand.

Those prints, it really hurts my eyes. I learned a lot about trousers, thank you! If had seen some all on their own, I might have bought one or another without thinking what to wear it with or wearing it ever, they look so harmless in the Stores. Your cat is very very pretty! Classic red tiger, very cute.

Loved this video. It was so helpful….except now I have to get rid of a lot of clothes in my closet lol. Please do more of these videos. So helpful for those of us who are petite and struggling with style. By the way, I wore that exact pink outfit to my daughter’s wedding 16 years ago. 4:24

The Baggy with Baggy look instantly made me think "College Art Professor" - my college professors tended to dress like this! HAHA! I used to want to dress like that as well and often did but since I'm a larger frame it was very very bad on me.

So are you saying for pants, it’s long pants? If no color, it’s black, white, neutrals. In Florida in the summer, black pants are too hot. So means white and neutrals. Well that makes shopping easy.

Baggy clothes hide all your smaller parts and make you look all over large. Tent clothes just make everyone assume you are as big as the tent all over. As for sparkle, I do think the very young can get away with unlimited dazzle. More mature women should choose our bling carefully with some sophistication in mind. Otherwise, it can be as aging as the cute print.

Those outfits were BAD! I see this everywhere. I think that some mature ladies just give up after a certain age and just lean into what the stores are offering. Alfred Dunner is a good example at Belk.

Agreed. JCPenny's has an Alfred Dunner section of clothes. They are matchy-matchy and so old lady looking; shapeless clothes. Don't they look awful! lol.

I think we (all) should be extremely merciful, to ladies that are very-elderly. I'm 'only' 60/It does take a lot of energy/effort/time -in my conviction- to really keep up with fashion/trends; we have so much to attend to >>> even if not so-much, the older we get the more it feels-like. None of us below-60, below-70, below-80, below-90, don't what what it's like to be that-elderly. Especially when closest-friends/closest-family have already passed and/or live far away and/or may have (started out with) a small/smaller family. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏

Never liked capris pants, pretty awful. Good selection of frumpy clothing. Possibly that pink sheath dress might be okay by itself without the matchy embellished jacket. The dress would need to be the right length and without matchy pink "dated" pumps.
