I'm 62. I have my fathers S+W 1950's revolvers. One is target, one is the State Trooper 357 that Mass. asked for. The first 357 was S+W, it had a satin finish and the troops wanted a more basic,(and cheaper version), So S+W rebuilt it, gave it a WWII black finish like the brits used, beefed it up and sold it for less. Same source, High standard .22, W/ compensator and 2 barrel weights. Drive nails at 50 yards all day long. Sig Sauer 225, ( 1979 ish, barrel and lower stamped, "Made In West Germany". A Colt M 1911 issued in 1918, also the DOM is '18. Still qualify and carry. Run 180's instead of 230's. Just a smaller Volkswagen flying through the air. S+W .45 revolver, WWII army issue. Wasenfabrik Mauser 7.64mm Model 1910 pocket pistol, recovered from a German soldier. The last 3 were from the son of a WWII soldier who made the trip from Normandy to the battle of the bulge. My uncles WWII issue Berreta, he was on our side in Sicily as a partisan. Charter Arms Pitbull, daily carry. A Nebraska Centennial colt 45 in .22, Rossi .22 long barrel. 2 of Nono's S+W 5 shot crack open .38 shorts. Just sold 1 4" S+W .357, One 4 " S+W .44 mag, one 6" S+W .44, all SS. Bought during Obama high ammo price days, no -3's. Paid $1100.00 all 3 back then. Sold at $2650.00 There are more but I can't remember and don't want to go down stairs. The Moral here. Buy US known manufacturers only. Unless you can get an old Sig, don't buy a new one. All striker guns are garbage. When citizens came for purchase permits we ask, they all say Glock, Our answer is the police and military are trained to handle inexpensive HOLSTER ONLY striker guns. If you really like what the police have, drive a Ford Crown Vic for 20 years.

I have a theory that it's supposed to be a concept gun, like the clothes in a fashion show. You're never supposed to ACTUALLY use it, it was more a challenge to see how many unique features you could fit on one. The Taurus G2C is awesome if you buy all the Lakeline interior parts! Actually, even before it had no issues, but with replacing the factory plastic with stainless guide rod and springs and striker / springs, all very cheap! Especially if you polish the feed ramp and slide etc., it hasn't failed to do anything... I think it was $203 bucks back then! She would have paid $403 knowing what we know now! I loved the first edition Taurus 24/7! Turned 2 of my GLOCK buddies into 24/7 fans back in those days! But to each their own! You should look into the Tisas DS9 1911. It's a 2011 that comes in around $750-$800. I picked up the 4.25 inch model a couple of weeks ago and have about 300+ rounds of monarch 115gr 9mm through it with no malfunctions. Great gun so far, weird trigger though.

I have a Bond Arms that I don't carry for concealed carry but when I work fenceline at my property. I carry 410 in 2 ¾" for snake control (have a lake very near by and have some water moccasins). It's great for that purpose.

Girsan is a dumpster fire from the poor build quality all the way to the worst post sale support in the industry. I fixed mine and sold it for less than half price new.

Not quite, there will be a lot of overlap with stuff like Derringers and those stupid LifeCard guns. I worked at a store that sold those, never sold a single one. Had a couple people ask about them, but once they saw the price tag, they changed their mind

Great video! I look forward to pouring through more. I did almost buy a Tec-22 back in the 90's. I don't know if I should thank my ex for keeping me poor so I didn't nab it or not.

That first Braverman contraption surely has mastered the "gray man theory": It'd blend in perfectly in any metalworking toolbox amongst all the quarter-inch extensions, drop oilers and automatic center punches.

My dad had a Bond Arms 38/.357 derringer. He wanted it so bad because it was made in Texas. Well, it was awful. The bottom barrel keyholes everything except snake-shot, (which is the only thing I would ever tun through it), it’s heavy and unwieldy. Strictly a novelty.

Buddy of mine had the .410. Worst trigger I’ve ever seen on a firearm. Everyone who shot it ended up hitting the ground 20 feet in front of them. I’d rather have a knife. Imo.

My dad has a Taurus PT 22, wholeheartedly agree THAT should be on the list. The crappiest gun I had was a Phoenix Arms Raven .25. Jam-o-matic, best bet to through the heavy chunk of metal at an assailant. Honorable mention: Kimber Micro 9, had two, expensive jam-o-matics.

My wife has an older model PT22. Looks like a little Barreta. FTE, multiple chambering issues. After about 100rds, it settled down and started working. Fun gun in my opinion. Better than nothing I suppose. 😮

When you were showing the INTRATEC I misheard and thought you said Entertech lol. I had an armory of Entertech water gun replicas of real steal back in jr high. And as for a decent 22 LR and WMR alternative, and that look cool, the Ruger Super Wrangler and the Heritage Rough Rider are good options. Also an Outlaw review of the Dark Storm Industries arsenal for those behind the iron curtain of the Anti 2A states.

I used to own an IntraTec Tec-22. The problem with mine wasn't the gun itself, but rather the 30-round magazine it came with. I also got a Ramline 50-rounder for a Ruger 10-22 with it when I bought it, because the salesman was honest about how poorly the stock mag performed. With the Ramline mag that thing worked flawlessly, and the only reliability issues were the typical rimfire-related failure-to-fire. Everything went well until the magazine started to wear out after thousands of rounds and I couldn't replace it with anything other than a 10-round Ruger 10-22 mag thanks to the Brady Bill being in effect. So it came to pass that I sold it off.

I like how you mentioned the fact that .380 isnt a very good carry caliber. I am a firearm salesman and i do my very level best to make sure that whoever comes to my counter knows as much as they need too to be safe and know they are safe. I have a thing i call seasonal firearms separation. I never really ever recommend a .380acp as a "good" option considering there are so many variations of 9mm that are fantastic for small frame people like critical defense lite and the g9 ehp bullets and other very light 60 to 65 grain external hollowpoint bullets that have basically zero recoil or very minimal recoil but are also screaming out the barrel. I put .380acp in the summer or hot month category, it can penetrate summer time clothing with no problem but winter time it would have a hard time doing body damage when it has to go through multiple layers of denim, a carhartt jacket or something very thick woven material. I walked into a local competitor of ours' gun counters and the guy there tried to tell me that 380 and 9mm were pretty much identical because they have similar case height and are the same .355 bullet. I then schooled him on a little thing called case pressure ane how 9mm has almost twice the case pressure of .380 and if they were the same as far as energy then why wont a .380 eject when shot from a 9mm? He shut up pretty quickly and said im going on lunch. A person like that should not be behind a gun counter, especially when its getting cold around where we are at and if hes telling a woman that isnt sure that a 380 is just as capable as a 9mm he should be fired.

The pt-22 poly usually works really well with 40 grain Cci minimags. If it's been cleaned it'll run decent with regular 40 grain bullets. Haven't had any problem with mine.

@@kenabi I have a lifelong hatred for strikerfire pistols because of that piece of carpet beater!! I bought one when I was like 14 and it was brand new and still the firing pin didn't work half time and when it did it didn't eject the shell another 50% of the time, the trigger was trash, the clips were trash. I didn't even sell it because I knew I would feel bad so I just gave it to a friend who actually wanted it, didn't ask why.
