It seems as if some people don’t listen or comprehend well so I’ll say this here, if you’re gonna get in the comments going back and forth about heat damage when I state several times in the video heat damage is a potential risk, then please find something else to do. Because let’s be honest, one day we’re all gonna die anyways and who had curly, straight, heat damaged, etc. won’t even matter… plus it’s just hair if u ever want to start over you can cut it off & TA- DAH 🪄 that’s why it grows back.. So if this isn’t your thing go to one of the other thousands of channels that promote the opposite and don’t use heat… It’s really that simple 💁🏾♀️ But thank you everyone for watching ! ❤ & don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE & help me reach 1000 Subs before the end of 2023 🎉😘

Just gave me the push I needed. Overall, natural hair does not work for me or my lifestyle in any way. My relaxed hair was the healthiest it’s ever been in my adult life but I made the mistake of getting it coloured too close to my relaxer and a lot of it fell out. I’m soooo happy people are talking about being straight hair natural and not stigmatizing it because it’s honestly the best option for so many people. Thank you for sharing!

@Crumpets7377 Жыл бұрын
I have been naturally straight all my life. I only occasionally do wash and go styles in summer. I don't like having wet hair with tons of products during cooler months and winter. And leaving my hair curly causes terrible split ends and breakage. I also don't like using many products on my hair at the same time, and that's what leaving my curly requires. I only use heat protectant before every blow dry and a leave-in conditioner when my hair needs a bit of TLC . Less products to me = less damage= less money spent= more money and time for other things in life.
@mynameisstacey6217 Жыл бұрын
I’m also a straight natural because I cannot deal with all those products in my hair. I just put a light oil on it before I flat iron and that’s it.
@farmhouseonthemountain Жыл бұрын
I appreciate that your POV exists in what can be a very dogmatic natural hair community. I have gotten yeast overgrowth on the scalp from trying to go heat free as my very course hair would take days to dry without heat. My braider told me I needed the heat, my scalp was not healthy and she was right. I blow dry once a week on low heat with a drying accelerator heat protection spray and use. flat iron maybe once a month and almost never in the winter. My hair is long and thick and biweekly hot oil treatments and trims every 8 - 10 weeks keeps the breakage from affecting the overall length gained.

I feel like it's worth noting that even with straightened natural hair, you can still do twist outs and braid outs if that's what you want to do to hide the frizz. You just have to put rods on the ends of the braids and twists to make them curl. Obviously the style won't stick up as much as if you weren't heat-trained.

I am very close to being a straight natural. I get my hair washed and blow-dried. After it is blow -dried, I put it in multiple braids (I don't add hair, I just use my own). This is the only thing that has kept my hair growing. I stopped wash and go's in my junior year of college (2011) and stopped two strand twists too. My hair loves to tangle so I keep it braided. This was actually my 2nd time having it pierced and although I loved it and the look, for some reason it always starts to reject :( I was told in the past I move my face & eyebrows alot when I talk so I never give it time to completely heal and I’ve also heard the eyebrow piercing has a very high chance of rejection for many people because of the location & skin in that area. But I would say go for it, you may have a different outcome ❤️ ! The pain isnt bad during the procedure but the aftercare gets a little tricky. But I absolutely love piercings & love seeing them on others so let me know what you decide to go with!

When people say “HeAt TrAiNiNg Is HeAt DaMaGiNg YoUr HaIr” I just want to say…. And? Like what is the REAL issue with breaking down the bonds of the hair? They aren’t as strong as when no heat is applied. OK. And? “Well you’re hair could break off.” Well, her hair appears to be growing just fine. She’s clearly not bald. And her hair is in a state that’s manageable for HER. If she slapped a relaxer in her head, people would say “WhY nOt JuSt PrEsS iT oUt InStEaD oF pUtTiNg CaNcErOuS cHeMiCaLs In YoUr HeAd?” I think a little heat damage is better than cancerous chemicals.

Um please s.h.u.t up I state multiple times in multiple videos I don’t mind heat damage or care about it, it’s just hair it grows back and what’s going on in my head or anyone else’s should be of no concern of yours anyways. Have a great day
