You dont have to go back and forth to go back to auto mode, all paddle shift cars do this, you hold the right paddle (up shift) for 2-3 seconds and it will go back to S/D mode whatever you're in and the appropriate gear. And the passenger seat is manual front/back because it's linked to the one touch button for quick exit for passengers in the back (Or to remove any big items if you put something back there) :P If this was a 4 door car im pretty sure passenger side would've been electric too

In middle east/Asia the three gauges are Acceleration, Tourque and Oil Temp. All are useful. Not sure why the US spec is different.

Rspec 3rd brake light is on the wing too. Umm, you can add it, this is an easy modd if you want one easy wiring nothing too hard, oh um the USB thing almost to tell you most cars not all. Doesn't apply enough power to charge an phone. Genesis coupe i believe has .5A when you need rough 1.5- 2. But an add on for 12v mines in my armrest, you can go that route it should charge.

I have a 2013 3.8 Track MT. If you unlock the driver's door with the proximity switch on the door, it doesn't unlock the passenger door. It won't unlock the passenger door via the proximity door handle if the driver's door is still open... You open the driver's door at at the store, pop the truck to load up groceries. Trunk fills up and u go to the passenger door to finish loading the back seat... If you left the driver's door ajar, you will need to walk all the way around to the driver's door to unlock the passenger door. ( Or dig your key fob out your pocket)

I have a base bk2 2.0t and an android phone. The usb port charges my phone but whenever my phone screen comes on, like a notification, it stops my jams and says "reading usb"

The USB is a hyundai issue as a whole. Didn’t work either on my old 2012 elantra. They changed it for the 2013 elantra and the 2014 genesis so iPhone charges on the 2014 genny and up.

lol the stock "boost gauge" in the 2.0t is useless too. It is really inaccurate and tops out at 15lbs even though stock tune goes up to 18lbs

(2013 2.0t premium) Not sure about every year/trim but you can use the Sport mode to "Slap shift" with the shift knob. Once you slide it to the left or driver's side and you have the "S" visible on your speedometer, you then are able to slide up or down in that section and it will shift gears up or down each time you "slap" (as I always was taught to call it) the handle with the center spot being like neutral position if you had a true manual transmission. It is similar to old arcade race games ...bump forward or up= shift and go faster or down to slow using the gears - manual has detailed info on all modes. Part of the fun driving this car ! Named mine Kato...he is fast, reliable, corners amazingly and very few flaws, quirks, or problems. The Genesis Coupe is the jewel of Hyundai. Luv to all in GCoup Clan, keep em safe! I've taken mine to the dealer and had them fix it twice, after about a month it just starts acting weird again, so far I've not found a permanent fix but mine does the same yours does, legit sounds like something is breaking in half when I open it lmao

the phone thing on the middle you need one song in apple music even if you don’t own a song it’ll go under ipod thing in media it’ll usually auto play the apple music song and you just change to whatever song you wish 100% works i do it in mine

i have a 2015 3.8 base brake light...hahaha...mine's in the rear window usb port...i have a Samsung Note 20 Ultra...i use a fast charge cig light adapter horn.....YES...so weak gauges...kinda neat...it's for show (^_^) 3 modes...yeah, love it. doesn't go back to Sport mode automatically if you don't use the paddles for a while? i know it does for Drive. infotainment...i don't have that package :( seat control...i dont' have that package

Most of these quirks are for higher trim levels. I have the 3.8 base with manual seats, no spoiler, and stock blue screen radio lol. But good video anyways

Stock BK1 3.8 base. Bk1 and Android phone same setup as your usb but it is in the arm rest storage, and for me to use that to charge I have to also have something plugged into the Aux jack and not let it try to read my phone (just set it back to Radio or something). And even just using the aux jack is a pain because trying to use it by its self there is a ton of high pitched interference and no bass to remedy i also need to have the usb plugged into my phone which provides cleaner full spectrum sound but at moderate volumes a high pitch whine is still present, so I tend not to use it. (If anyone per chance know how to fix this let me know, would love to be able to make good use of this). Also both my seats are fully manual, auto seats were an added option for ours especially the BK1s when the Genesis "brand" wasn't fully solidified yet. And frankly have always preferred manual seats, lighter and faster to adjust when needed. (not to mention less to go wrong). Well glad mine doesn't sound like that. (not like I went out to test to make sure or anything....) And dont know if anybody else has noticed/had this happen but it is more along the side of design flaw that quirk but if the car has no battery (dead or removed) it is not possible to get into the trunk as far as I could tell. Had my battery die and had the cables in my trunk but no way to get to them. the does not seem to be a physical way of opening the trunk latch from the outside, so no power no entry. So dont keep your cables in your trunk.

I got a question for the throttle controller you have does it help with them sweet sweet skids every time i give it throttle it has like a delay then it goes ill be trying to hit the corner give it gas but it wont go then halfway through the turn it gives it to me?

Yea it makes it way more responsive, easiest way to describe it is 1/4 throttle feels like 1/3 throttle and so on, it should definitely make her easier to chuck around!

Passenger is manual controls to make it easier and faster to get someone in and out of the back seats. Same as if you have manual on both, like the Rspec does, the passenger seat is the only one that automatically slides forward, for the same reason.

Hi, I have a little problem and I don't know if you can help me or someone else: I guess all of us who see this video have a hyundai genesis. I have a hyundai genesis r -spec (manual) and two days ago I had a problem that when I want to accelerate the car it accelerates but at the same time loses strength and stops, I have to press the accelerator several times to react when the car comes moment that he grabs out and accelerates ... or what I also do is put it in neutral and then go to 1 speed and there it also accelerates .. I feel that when I drive where I place my legs I feel hot under there and I do not know if I really am hallucinating or is it really happening. I hope you can help me or someone can help me because apart from taking it to a mechanic first I prefer to ask someone who also has a hyundai genesis, I suppose someone has gone through that and really knows the solution .. thanks

The USB issue is a Hyundai issue, at least in my experience... upgraded from android Galaxy S7 to S10 and BAM! No more charge capability, lol. They do not seem to update at all, so you're stuck how it came from factory... which is idiotic and cheap. Someone correct me if you know of firmware updates. (2012 2.0T Sonata owner)

There should be an option to show your average fuel consumption on your dash display. At least my 2015 3.8 has that... Yours might not? But i do agree the instant fuel consumption is kind of pointless.

Yea that option exists on the 2013s as well, I was just meaning like a screen with a built in gauge or something along those lines that shows your current live fuel economy, instead of just average. And then that gauge would be able to be used for something else!

R specs are hard to find in east NA. a lot of them are in the west. at least he has paddle shifters tho. but don’t just hate on a car bc it’s auto. it’s just a preference when you get down to picking and choosing. and the newer autos on coupes are actually pretty reliable. that being said manual driving is simply more rewarding and fun. it isn’t for everyone.
