Deathcharger is not 1 in 100 in Classic. It's 1 in 5000 which was confirmed in a bluepost. So with 5 people in the group, you have a 1:25000 chance of getting it after a Strat UD run.

I ran strat so many times on vanilla. Like almost everyone I got one in wotlk when the drop rate was 1% nerfed from vanilla. I got mine in classic in a pug at level 58. There were two but I'm pretty sure mine is the only one alliance side on arcanite reaper after server transfers.

I got this mount in 23 runs on the Ides of March 2009 which was before they buffed the drop to 1%.🍀 Ides of March, the day Julius Caesar was murdered by the Senate 44AD. 😈

The rarest item in WoW history is the Talisman of Binding Shard, and/or that Swift Green Mechanostrider (I believe that’s what it was) because both of them are 1/1. Even the lowest drop rate items that were never removed from the game have at least a few individuals who have them, but both of the aforementioned items were literally one of a kind in the game.

I just started playing WoW classic today, I am an old school vanilla player. I saw alot of people with full t2, I saw a guy with Thunderfury and another with Sulfuras, also a tank with Quel Serrar and nobody really cared. I thought wow, this isnt vanilla. Classic is barely one year old and there are tons of people running around with stuff, only 1-2 people on the server had, back in the day. I remember very well when the first two people on the server got their t2.5 shoulders. They were standing in IF on the bridge (you guys know which one ;) ) and atleast 50 people were standing around them, envying them.

yeah ive seen 2 drops in my last 6 ubrs runs. i dont think its as rare as you think. in there theres also 5 on our AH selling for about 750g? which is pretty cheap imo

Ummmm, dude, Deathcharger's Reins is 1% in RETAIL, not Classic; in classic/vanilla the drop rate was/is 0.05%, im pretty sure that number was stated in a blue post back years ago, it didn't become 1% drop until WotLK. There would definitely be more than 1 alliance and 1 horde on my server with the mount if it was 1%.

the rarest mount in classic and the rarst item in general is the drone given to the one who bashes the gong and starts the ahnq quiraj event... only one person per server gets this... and the whole server and several raids have to kill some bosses... not to mention alls the cloth and other supplies the whole sever has to spend

So I'm gonna be the jackass. The number 1 slot pants don't have a 1 in 5000 drop chance. The calculation should be carried out as (1-(.998^n))*100% chance, where n is the amount of bosses that you kill that could drop the loot. You're essentially calculating how many times the pants are not NOT dropping, if that makes any sense. So if you run ZF 5000 times, you have a (1-.998^1000)*100% chance, or about 99.996% chance (which is close enough to 100%, but not quite).
