You hit the nail on the head with filling out item specifics. What I've learned is that Ebay's algorithm is set to pick up listings that have all the boxes with info in them. So what I do is click the tab to add more specifics. So just take the time to add as much as possible. Even if you put N/A in a few boxes. Also I always add 10-12 photos even if it's the same photo twice. The reason for this is that the algorithm will automatically put that listing ahead of the exact same item because it will have a better chance of selling. I have been doing this for quite some time w fantastic results. I have a small store that usually has between 125-175 listings yet I consistently average 150-200 sales per month. I would highly recommend this strategy. It is a little time consuming but the benefits outweigh it. I have a question for you and your viewers. I found a vintage Led Zeppelin mens fashion line S/S button front rayon abstract shirt but can't find anything Similar. The only thing I found was by Dragonfly. This shirts tag reads Led Zeppelin men's fashion line. Any info would be great. Thanks and good luck.

@buckwheat96744 жыл бұрын
@@dln6601 Thanks for asking. Store is doing great. As for doing anything new or different. Not really. Always use all the photos, and fill in every box. Also I promote all my listings at 1%. You getting the exact same thing as the people doing 5%...etc...Ur just getting a sponsored listing like everyone else. If you do all of this ur listings will always be in the upper portion of the list. Especially good when you have an item where there are a lot listed. Thanks for your question and interest. Good luck 👍

Good tips for sure. I was like, what!!! Selling an item for $22 and someone offers me $5!!! What, really!!! LOL. I did not decline, offered back at $20, they offered back at $12.00. I offered back again at $18 and said that is the lowest I would go, that with all the fees, consignment, etc., I'd be making $4, maybe. I have yet to hear back from them. Love learning so much from you both.

First time out this weekend. Did about four garage sales from 8am to 10am then Thrift stores from 10am to noon. The thrift stores in my area seem to be a bit crazy on their pricing, but the garage sales were awesome. I spent $8 and ended up with a Pearl Jam hoodie, 3 Columbia Jackets, some nice jeans and some Lego sets. My first weaknesses I could see is that I need to be better with knowing more and more brands. Many people were selling clothes for super cheap from 25 cents to a dollar which almost seems like there's no way to lose buying stuff that cheap if I resell in my area. If I tried to Ebay that then there's a big difference. Anyway it was super fun!

quick observation - I have the same exact chairs. Good info. One question regarding Best Offer - how to avoid non-paying buyers that come with 'Best Offer'? Once you accept the offer, they have 2 days to pay and till then your item is on hold. And those buyers (even the ones with decent ratings) don't respond to the invoice/ pay, you have to open an unpaid case, so on so forth - a lot of turn around time that goes waste + effort + product on hold till its available to relist.

Never decline an offer, no matter how offensive it is. You don’t want to stop the negotiations from the beginning because they may just be fishing to see if you will go low on an item. Also, none of these platforms look kindly on declinations.

declining offers and making counter offers is really annoying and time consuming so I just shut off offers on all of my listings. Definitely get less sales, but you get higher profits on what you do sell. Any offer accepted is coming out of my profits, especially considering you already have to pay your 11% in fees after the sale. And I've found people who pay full price usually don't cause problems/complain.
