Hi Vesna, You're welcome! 🧡We really appreciate your kind words-they mean a lot to us. We're glad to hear you found the information helpful. 🎉 If you're interested, we have an ACL Help Playlist that might be useful for you. You can check it out here: “ACL Knee Pain Injury Help” [ACL Knee Pain Injury Help Playlist](kzbin.info/aero/PLJVIPiFvv1mY5egV7qX8PHh-kEeL6y1wP) We recommend starting with one or two exercises at a time, using a small range of motion and low intensity. As you gain strength, you can gradually increase both. It's best to perform these exercises regularly throughout the day. Aim to work your muscles without losing control or form. Remember, consistency is key. If you feel pain, it's best to stop; soreness is normal, but pain is not. We also have a new ACL Program coming out soon, which could be helpful for ACL issues. Thank you again for your encouragement. Wishing you all the best-please take care! 🧡

I had torn my Acl completely. Now 18 months later i am completely healed doing sqats and deadlifts. But if i do sharp movements or dance after alcohol with no care i get sore knee but it always go away in few days no issues at all. I recommend dont rush to surgery unless you are very professional athlete.

I tripped on a curb almost 7 weeks ago and got a full ACL tear. The orthopedic doctor I’m going to advised against surgery. As a boomer, I’m super fit for my age having been involved in weightlifting for the past 18 years , I’m choosing the natural healing option, got the hinge brace you suggested in another video and working to strengthen my leg with exercises. Doctor said I could always choose surgery in the future if I feel I need it, but he also warned me about potential risks. I don’t have the slightest evidence of arthritis, he told me surgery could lead to arthritis down the road. I’m taking the non-surgical approach. What specific exercises could you recommend? Going to PT right now isn’t an option since I’m between jobs and insurance is so costly.

I was hit by a Mercedes walking across the street. My ACL, MCL, etc. was badly torn. My shoulder was broken. My bicep was torn. I am glad I had the surgery. So much depends on the individual circumstances.

I have a cruciate ligament. I had an MRI and it showed that it was completely torn. I had it done again and it became almost complete. All the orthopedists tell me that I must have surgery. But the physical therapists have another opinion. That there is healing and I must complete the rehabilitation, but the orthopedists do not agree with its ability to heal, which made me confused. I have been injured for a year and a half.. I do not know what to do. As I am continuing with rehabilitation without surgery, I fear that all my efforts have been in vain and I must have surgery and rehabilitation, which makes me feel very frustrated.

If you happen to have ACL pain issues we have a playlist that maybe beneficial for you. I then had imbalance of my knee n gave up all field games. Lately am feeling pain when walking too long. Whats your opinion in doing a tkr? Should i?

What does ACL stand for ?
@epmanualphysicaltherapy
@epmanualphysicaltherapy 6 ай бұрын
Hi Catherine, It stands for Anterior cruciate ligament. It is one of the key ligaments in your knee. It helps keep your knee stable and allows you to move it properly. Think of it like a strong band that connects your thigh bone to your shin bone, helping to control the movement of your knee joint. If you injure your ACL, it can make your knee feel unstable or give out, especially during activities like running or jumping.

Somewhat similar story for me…Got Injured playing football 2 years ago… initially couldn’t walk for 2 months, then followed up with Physio and they advised me to do exercises but I couldn’t achieve complete straightening of knee or bend it even after all these years. However, gradually Ive attained strength in my knees and carry out my regular activities but have to stay away from football in fear of getting re injured. During these past two years, my knee used to give me discomfort every now and then but it wasn’t very great deal of pain. However, I was always afraid of getting osteoarthritis as I never got to know full depth of my injury and I was carrying out regular activities which could put more stress on the injured connective tissues. Yesterday, Ive took an MRI which I wanted to do for long time, it was shown that I have complete tear in the ACL with buckling of PCL, while the posterior horn of medial meniscus got damaged while I was still walking with the injured leg. The doctor told me that I have to get full reconstruction surgery and mentioned how essential it is for me even though I am perfectly alright at the moment. He told me that I will save myself a great deal of pain in future when I will get old as I wont be physically in great and thats when all the serious injuries will start to bother us. He also mentioned the risk involved in the surgery which is 10% but reassured with any other major surgery. And yet here I am watching this video desperately to get it fixed without surgery😭.

@@hakai4350 I tore my ACL 3 months ago. I have been wondering the same things as you. I came to the conclusion that the ACL does heal but very slowly, so slow that it tears quicker. Ive made plan to slow down the tearing and quicken the growing of new cells. This is the plan. 1. Knee brace 2. Supplements and nutrients collagen, bone broth, glucosamine, chondroitin, anioxidants like drinking tea from marry gold and rose hips, hemp seed and bee pollen for additional amino acids and vitmains, vitamine K, 3. fasting 18 hours and cold shocks in shower for increased production of human growth hormone, 4. comfrey root poultice every night and 5. We can provide you with som general information that can help you heal naturally and hopefully get you back to sporting activities.
