thanks to this vid my decision making process for buying feedback looper took about 5 seconds 🥰

That's rad! they're really easy to build DIY if you're feeling brave haha there's a tutorial on my channel :)

Already seen it, actually I'm toying with the idea of DIY noisy stompboxes for quite a time now and as soon as I manage to organize some cat-free space I'm going to start with your awesome tut :)

Nice name for the feedback pedal. Is it referring to the Nine inch nails song or the general phrase?

Cheers! Nope just a coincidence

Does this work with most tremolos? That trem demo was amazing!!

No idea tbh! build one and try it out :)

can this pedal (along with a distortion) create the same kind of feedbacker sounds you'd get from a boss DF-2 or digitech Freqout?
@HOLYISLANDAUDIO Жыл бұрын
Not quite this is just a feedback looper. It just runs whatever pedal is in the loop back on itself. so it would likely just make a distortion oscillate but depends on the circuit really.
@-jank-willson Жыл бұрын
ok. I am trying to replicate the feedback sound of Queen's 'we will rock you' guitar solo, and also the feedback-filled guitar in green day's 'brain stew', if you're familiar with those songs. Can this pedal do those sounds?@@HOLYISLANDAUDIO

@@-jank-willson nope! for that you’d just want volume.

I have a battery practice amp, i want to get that sound from those songs using a pedal, since I can't get it the old fashioned way. @@HOLYISLANDAUDIO

When using a overdrive/distortion in the feedback loop, is it possible to rein in the feedback so that when you’re not playing, it’s not on infinite feedback? If so, is that achieved by turning down the knob on the looper or reducing the gain on the OD/distortion pedal?
@HOLYISLANDAUDIO Жыл бұрын
I’m not really sure what you mean tbh most behaviours are totally circuit dependent so its just worth experimenting with whatever pedals you have

@@HOLYISLANDAUDIO I was drawing my thoughts from Electrofoods RBMK demos such as C//E’s. It seems that it could create some feedback without it running away/squealing feedback. I was wondering if a stand-alone feedback looper could do that with any gain pedal. I don’t have a feedback looper to try different gain pedals to. Are you saying the resulting feedback from a looper differs gain pedal to gain pedal?
@HOLYISLANDAUDIO Жыл бұрын
@@lcglazer Yup, you’re literally just patching the output back into the input so different circuits will react differently
@lcglazer Жыл бұрын
@@HOLYISLANDAUDIO by the way has anyone else requested Tides to have feedback on the gain/drive part of the circuit? I believe the feedback is only on the belton brick. I think it’d be a cool noise machine to be able to dial in levels of crazy, not only from setting the amount of runaway on the verb or it’s mix but also generate feedback on the gain!

Is this true bypass? if i turn off the feedback looper, and turn on again, the repeats would still run?
@HOLYISLANDAUDIO3 жыл бұрын
I have a tutorial for building a feedback looper on my channel, and yes that looper is true bypass. If you turn it off and on the effects in the loop would still be running.
