everything you say is true but the joy and love they give you is like no other breed. They are like children. Amazing how they understand most of what we do and speak as well. They have a contagious happiness sensation. I have had other breeds until this schnoodle. Does not only bark, he also makes a lot of funny noises like he is trying to speak and the way they handle things with their legs remind you of a teddy bear. Ours is black and white and does many things as Snoopy does. Amazing dogs.

We're on our second schnoodle after 17 years. (We had a Westie before that.) She is a sweetheart. Everything in this video seems to be true! She loves her person-mom; cries when she's not around. And she is the only dog we've ever had that watches TV. She goes nuts jumping when she sees another dog on TV. And she will bark and vocalize...so funny! And yes, they use their front paws like a monkey!

I just lost my beloved schnoodle of almost 16 yrs 9 mo. She was the best friend I could ever want or ask for. She was absolutely a fantastic loving smart and intuitive sweetheart. It’s been 24 hours since I had to help her cross the rainbow bridge. I held and loved on her as long as I could. I love you so much, coco. My sweet girl. I would get another schnoodle in a heartbeat. I highly recommend this breed.

Just lost our KOKO this afternoon… family is a wreck, best breed for our family, he was so loyal and loving, he helped me through a really tough time in my life, we were blessed to have him for 8 months as he was given to us by an elderly man who had him for 6yrs and was diagnosed with cancer and felt that Koko needed care that he could no longer provide.. Koko boy you came into our family when we needed you most.. thank you for your service to our family, you will never know how much you mean to us ❤️❤️

I have a schnoodle. He is great. He loves walks as do I; no sensitive stomach, easily trained to not "go" in the house; stubborn? I call it personality; tell me a dog that doesn't like to be brushed; yes there is separation anxiety; barks, yes but not more than usual; very smart.

The title of this video is misleading. It should say ‘Facts you should know about the Schnoodle!’ I have a Schnoodle that I rescued and have had for 7 years. I previously had a Schnauzer. Much of what you say is true but can be applied to many dog breeds. Most non-shedding dogs require grooming. There are very few dogs that don’t require exercise. The separation anxiety is very true. That comes from both parent breeds. They are very smart and definitely family oriented. Mine is a pleasure to take on long trips. 😊

The only one I could relate to was the grooming part, but I never considered it a negative. My girl was perfect in every way except that she had skin allergies. She had to have monthly shots to prevent her from itching herself to the bone, and the shots took their toll. She only lived to age 14, but we had wonderful years together. She was brilliant, not needy, no separation anxiety, no dietary issues, not an incessant barker (I never allowed it), didn't need an excessive amount of exercise, and was a little bit sassy. I thought I was going to die when I lost her. Turns out, I could love another dog again, so I rescued a street urchin (poodle) and lived happily ever after until she passed. Now I'm on my 4th poodle and it all started with my sassy little schnoodle from so long ago. It's hard to quantify the level of love, loyalty and blessings dogs bring to our lives.

My little schnoodle girl was my best friend for 18 years. She was smart, sensitive, and loved everyone. The only trait mentioned that she had of the 7 was being stubborn as a puppy, but she grew out of it with lots of love and attention The only quirk she had was to rush to the door and if it was a sales person she would pee at their feet🙂Maybe she sensed my annoyance?

I have my second Schnoodle now, she is ten years old and no matter how long she lives it won’t be enough time with her. She is lovable , funny and my best friend. She helps me to be healthy by walking with me at least three times a day and I love it. I make her food with ingredients a holistic Vet has guided me to do. So she has had no stomach problems. I started grooming my first beautiful Schnoodle when he was just a baby and do the same for her. My life would be so boring without my Schnoodle. Most loving dogs I have ever had. ❤

I am running a schnoodle breeding programme and most of these ‘traits’ are mistakes made/misunderstood by the owners. They are fantastic little clown like characters and give their owners so much joy. Schnoodles make excellent, easy first time dogs if dealt with correctly from day one. ❤🐕‍🦺❤️

Schnoodles are a great farm dog. I have one and she gets plenty of exercise and one of the best dogs I've had. Early socialization with other dogs and humans is a big key to break the anxiety. Most of these reasons I disagree with but then I might be lucky with her.

now let me tell you, i’ve barely had my baby Shnoodle for 2months now…& i’m speaking for myself, from someone whose had several dogs…XL to small…he’s the best dog i’ve ever had…(sorry not sorry to my other babies😭) but SERIOUSLY….Shnoodles are the most sweetest, crazyyyy, funniest, but most of all…just so smart, and good. he listens to everything i say, even if i have to repeat it a few times. he’s so patient…but if i sit down for too long..he’ll go look for another owner to play with 😂🤣 LOL but it’s because they NEEEEEED attention & feeed from playing & exercising..he’s amazing. I could never take my large dogs anywhere without wrestling them, or handling them in public😓…and they definitely wouldn’t listen to me LOL so i love my baby Shnoodle…first time i’ve owned one..and definitely the next one i’ll rescue.🧡

I do not disagree with this list, however every dog is going to have its issues and if you're a lazy family or dog owner the dog will suffer. In our family our Schnoodle has helped us to be more disciplined and on top of things not that we were Slackers to begin with but she really has been a good therapy dog and we have had to learn how to do things that we wouldn't normally do as long as we learn her language, all dogs require a certain level of maintenance. So you need to assess your living quarters and find the right dog that fits . There are no bad dogs just bad dog owners.

We had two mini Schnoodles that lived 17 and 16 yrs. They were wonderful pets with happy dispositions. They loved everyone and enjoyed being engaged with people. We found they needed a yard to exercise, were not particularly prone to stomach issues, did need grooming every couple months, weren't stubborn, did not like being left alone for long periods, one dog barked a lot but the other did not, and they did require mental stimulation because they are highly intelligent. We really enjoyed our Schnoodles and plan on getting another one!

I agree this title is misleading. What you've described is my dog. He's not a schnoodle. He's a Maltese ShihTzu and acts like a puppy at age 15. He's smart, protective, loyal, lovable, and has anxiety issues especially after the loss of his brother from another mother, Teddy, the ShihTzu. They kept each other company and the anxiety issues were non-existant especially as Teddy was a very sweet, calm dog. My suggestion is have two dogs. They keep the anxiety down.

I love the, and one night I thought about how I love them so much and I’ll have deep sadness when I lose them. But they have lived very long and they are takin care of and they don’t need many things in this video and they do love when you are with them my schnoodles will wait at my door for when I get home. I love them very much and they are a big and important part of my family and house and life.

This is silly. These things could be said for any dog. We were first time dog owners when we got our first Schoodle. We now have 2. We chose the Schoodle because we had never had a dog. They were both smart and easy to train. They can be stubborn but not any more than most dogs. They could bark but I would not call them an annoying barker, like the schnauzer can be. One barks more than the other. They loved being active but could also lay around all day. We have two Schooldles, one had a little seperation anxiety and the other could have cared less. They really are the best dog for a first time dog owner.

I have a schnoodle a toy poodle and miniature poodle. The schnoodle sheds a little more and is less yappy than the poodles. He's also a lot more people friendly. They are all extremely intelligent and active. I have a huge fenced in yard to zoom around in with squirrels and chipmunks to chase which helps in not having to walk them more than once a day.

This video is right in one special way, these seven things are generalizations and not true to the max extent for every single schnoodle. My schnoodle it does not bark too much, and has been influenced by growing up and having a quiet whippet as his mentor. He has learned to stop barking when I tell him to. While he can be stubborn, he would rather be obedient and please me. He’s had very little to no problems with his digestion except when I may have given him too much of the wrong thing. Daily he has qualitative dog food. As far as anxiety goes, he does not like for me to leave every day for work, but having my whippet keeps him company and he is not depressed nor field with him much anxiety. Actually, he deals with the life he must lead quite well and is a happy little fellow! and since I am gone all day, the running that my whip it causes him to do gives him quite a work out more than once a day and on weekends more like three or four times a day. They are both in top shape. I do agree that this would not be a perfect dog for a first time dog owner. You really must be the leader and you must remind him of that periodically as well. Overall, a schnoodle, if they are like mine, are charming, playful, loyal, and loving. Fine little dogs!

I have a Schnoodle for over eleven years now. The bulk of his life has been with me caring for my mother during her ten year journey with cancer. I don’t find much of this to be true. Due to me being a caregiver, I was limited with leaving my mother’s home. Thomas was game on and stuck by my mother’s side and mine too. Loyalty is a biggie quality with him. He does love being in his backyard! He did slide after things change with my mother. It was doggie depression. I was grieving bc I lost my mother and best friend. He felt everything and became sullen. I offered him more attention and he responded. It took a couple of months but his loyalty became stronger. Other than grooming which is normal upkeep, I do not find any of these issues to be true.

I have a great girl!! Very active , but my girl is clingy so she wants to play with me and other dogs never by herself…so no toys unless I play with them. She can play for hours and not be tired, very smart about conserving energy while playing too which may contribute to that . Sensitive stomach and skin for sure, changed to salmon and life has been so much better. My dogs coat isn’t to kinky so she doesn’t get matted unless near eyes lots of eye boogies. THEY ARE ANNOYINGLY STUBBORN and smart. Puppy training sucked because they do hate sleeping alone and never grow out of it. They’ll forever hate the crate so be prepared They do bark, even when decently trained (professionally trained several times , it’s just in her nature but never anything concerning). But it’s not too much all the time . My dog doesn’t like kids for some reason, working on it.

Mine is not stubborn if she does something I don’t want her to. I just say no and she stops immediately. She does require grooming but I enjoy doing that myself. I’ve taught her a few little tricks just because she’s so cute doing them and she loves to show off for people. I only have to show her something twice and by the third time she’s got it, she doesn’t like for me to leave her that’s true, but she just waits and watches until I get back.

I would avoid this cross breed. My wife and I tried two of them from a breeder near Fairhope AL. Disaster. Had to return both and it was VERY HARD to get the breeder to take the first back after 20 hours and the second after 5 days, even though we were told verbally that there was a return policy. Always read the fine print of contracts, even when the breeder pushes cheap champagne mimosas on you. I had to really go to the mat or I would have been skinned financially with really high prices. And the breeder purposefully pushed those two dogs on me and said others were not available to meet with my wife and me when we drove 40 minutes to get there. We also paid for groomings and vet bills for nothing. One dog was half blind. The other was a basket case if put anywhere near a crate. We ended up getting a Bordoodle from another breeder that is an absolute angel by comparison. The dog is fantastic and we get compliments everywhere we walk him. He is literally twice as intelligent as the Schoodles, which were touted as being "super smart." Uh no. At least not those two dogs. We saw the first dog go up for sale again, and the person showing the dog admitted on Facebook that he was difficult. Later, this confession was changed and he sold. The other half blind dog was never put up for sale. I'm guessing she was given to an employee to take home for free.

You need to have so much patience with this dog breed. No other dog breed had tested my patients as much as my schnoodle. I’ve owned a Chow Chow, for 13 years and that breed is notorious for being stubborn and aloof like cats. I don’t mind that honestly I like it when dogs are in their own world. On the other hand shnoodles need your attention 24/7 they want to cuddle next to you, play with your clothes hands, anything they can hold and will try playing fetch with you. They need constant mental stimulation. A bored schnoodle = like a 2 year old toddler up to no good. He’s only 1 year and a half. I hope he grows out of this phase soon. He just looks for things that he can destroy if I’m not Paying attention to him. I’ve been disciplining him when he does things he’s not supposed to and it’s been working but this breed is like a 2 year old child at 1 1/2 years old and prior. Complete nightmare lol but then they’re also super cute, lovable, kind, and playful.

Sounds like your dog is board. He or she needs something to stimulate and keep busy. My dog has a big plastic Kong, not the kind to chew but to put healthy small treats inside and she has to learn to bat it around if she wants treats, she also has a special bowl game she has to flip over & over to get anything out of it. There is all sorts of games for smart dogs to keep them busy.

My girl, while not exactly sure she's full Shnoodle (maybe Airedale/Schnauzer, but definite Schnauzer something) is crazy, but she's my girl! The grooming, she's a country dog, so she gets tons of stick-tites (plant seeds) stuck to her beard and mustache every.damn.day running around with my big boys (livestock gaurdian breeds). Such a pain to get them out, as she doesn't like them in her field of vision, but she doesn't want me pulling her nose hair to get them out either! Stubborn, and smart asf is how I'd describe my girl. My regular tricks on my big boys don't work on her, she's on another level of dog intellect. Oh and she has no qualms about attacking them in the face when she wants to play. They seem to love it and tolerate her, I don't know why, but she's become lil' sister to them. Would definitely not recommend based on stubborness, she won't do anything she doesn't want (coming back inside at 3am). She barks a lot, but I'm in the country so it doesnt matter.

FIRSTLY, as someone who works with dogs professionally every single day, ANY DOG THAT GOES POTTY IN THE HOUSE is because of the owner. If you get a dog, TRAIN it. Now, I’ve never heard of this breed throwing up or pottying in the house because OF their breed. It’s ridiculous. 🤦‍♀️ Everyone’s an expert though right? People. Do your research WITH help from a professional.

Indeed! You SHOULD have own schnoodle! One of THE BEST dogs on earth. My furrh baby is also schnoodle at 7 yrs old. She is lovable, extremely smart, affectionate, empathetic, energetic, so funny 😁 the best dog i ever have had in my life ♡♡

With the exception of the grooming tip, I don’t think he made a single correct point. Don’t listen to this guy. Schnoodle is a great dog.

Reason No 1 = ALL DOGS! All dogs should be walked, okay ball and not just put in a yard for their exercise.

Anything with poodle in it could have these traits. Far too generalised and without hard facts to back up the statements made. Our Schnoodle is the most wonderful dog and we wouldn't swap her for the world.

i love my schnoodle. he is the most loving dog and extremely smart. i do agree with the sensative stomach i only feed him high quality food and he is 16 years old and in good health. you have to keep them groomed about every six to eight weeks. i look forward to coming home from work he makes me laugh everyday.
