Shout out to Sebastian and Jose!!! I'm Jack, the guy that brought the rusted up green 07 Volvo 780 d12 13 speed (thought it was decent, but 5 out of 10 after inspection) and the other better red 07 Volvo 670 d12 10 speed Jose mentioned. I missed most of the problems they showed me on the rusted one and I totally missed the one oil leak on the one that looked good, so thanks a million for saving me from spending my hard earned money on those trucks. I'm still looking for my first truck and your guy's advice is worth it's weight in gold. Surely I'll see you guys soon for another pre-purchase, and definitely every time for all my repairs and services when I finally buy a good money maker. Thanks again!!!!!!

Good stuff! May I add that I have learned that a blown head gasket can cause a dipstick to rust! So that could be a sign. Real dirty coolant resivor. I also agree with the transmission swapping. I personally know of a non emission freightliner that had the super 10 swapped out for a standard 10 and some times it throws engine light and can't get the truck to accelerate after the swap.

Possibly valve cover gasket,injector harness,cam bearing cap on #7, last but not least head gasket. Bet it runs like champ! Thanks for watching!

That is an outstanding idea. Have a Rate my Truck submission page and you can make a video over the different trucks people want to buy. Everyone can weigh in, and you can point out possible problems etc, posters can get into arguments with each other and have fun with it.

Engine sound! Drove a mack 350 ( only 400k miles) had a knock sound I didn't like and really difficult shifting, passed on that one. Drove a freightliner mechanical cat 3406, no smoke, started first turn, drove great but truck needs a little care, prob going for that one.

How do u check for oil blowbye take off the oil cap while it's running?

On older diesels yes but not on new emission engine with centrifugal oil separators you will have vacum even on higher worn engines in oil cap or crank case. For newer engines you have to check pressure from separator and most of the time you will have some oil coming out.
