I'm not particularly proud of actually getting the Bladder of Steel Award trophy in Rock Band 2, that is, play the Endless Setlist (all 84 songs in the game, about 6 and a half hours) without pausing or failing a song... I uh, kept a small plastic container by my side. The shame.

WheresTheLake1 i guess if you are bad at these it might be. rock band doesnt have any hard songs, not like gh2 and 3. except for dlc songs, and i dont think those are needed for the achievement. now, if gh3 had the same achievement and required you to play all the bonus songs including through fire and flames... i could see that being torture. even after i was able to 4 star ttfaf i still fail it some times.

I'm proud (i shouldn't be, right?) to say that i got "Dastardly" from RDR without knowing the trophy existed. I was kind of ecstatic to see the trophy pop, it was an awesome idea so fitting for a western. I just thought of doing it for fun when i realised you could hogtie people, and see where the train was coming on the map.

Joe Dan-Lee ah well I got all golds on the GT5 license tests, twice (PS3 died and I lost my save). It was really easy the second time around because I left the default grippier tyres mode on, whatever it was called.. did everything but S class using the realistic tyres mode the first time! In 6 the hardest bit was doing the Red Bull car through Goodwood, tried for a few days using a controller, but then did it within 20 minutes of plugging in a steering wheel.. lol.

Probably in my top 5 "achievements" that took the longest to do though.... (Amazingly, Yiazmat in FF12 actually took longer to prepare for and defeat, so it's not number 1.)

I would like to add two ridiculous things I've made just for trophies. 1- Rocket League: "Far far away trophy", drive total of 50K, well I don't have time for that so I wrapped the required buttons to "move and turn" with non stop in a practice field and left the controller for a whole day, came back and I found the trophy unlocked. 2- Final Fantasy 13-2 the "Serendipitous trophy", you have to collect 10,000 coins or more from the slot machine in one round! it's too much, so I did the same thing as I did in rocket league and came back the next day finding the trophy unlocked....

When I did the Rocket League one, I just did it over the course of about a year. 1. Sit around in a party playing Rocket League. 2. Load up an exhibition match with no bots, unlimited time and boost. 3. Move around the center circle for 10-15 minutes. 4. Then, go and play a game online and forget you just did that.

I did the 64 frogs in MGS3 back when the game released in the PS2! you gain a stealth camo for that, it's totally worth it with you want to mock the guards like in MGS1 ☺️ but sure there are some frogs that are just insane, like you showed, when you have to hit them in mid ride. There some of them in that way, it can be quite enerving! But when you do it, it's like beating a boss in a Soul's game!

Trying to complete the "Lunatic" achievement/trophy which requires you to complete the game on insane difficulty the hard part is if you die, you have to start from the beginning of the game And you can't save the game, so you will have to play it in a single playthrough

My 7 most ridiculous trophies: 1. "Venting Frustration" in Alice: Madness Returns. I literally stopped playing the game for several minutes, just to watch Alice float around for a bit over a steam vent. 2. "Say 'No' to Pot(s)" in Eat Lead: The Legend of Matt Hazard, which is to waste what little ammo you have in the opening level shooting the 30 different potted plants you can find in the Japanese restaurant. 3. "Legendary Prince" in Catherine, which requires you to beat all 128 levels of the in-game arcade version of Rapunzel, which only cements how desperate you are for a silver if you're willing to play through 128 micro-versions of the main games puzzles. 4. "Balls" in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which even taunts you in the trophy description, saying, "so you like playing with balls, eh?" Just because I took some time from my busy conspiracy-exposing schedule to score a three-pointer in a back alley hoop.

"Last Man Standing" in Payday: The Heist, which requires you to abandon your mates (be they real or AI) to police custody or the clutches of death while you ride off into the sunset with all the goods by heist's end. Don't worry guys, I'll get you out sooner or later! 6. "Oblivion Walker" in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which asks that you collect all 15 Daedric Artifacts, and while that may not sound too difficult or ridiculous, just know that doing will require you to do some of the following: getting blackout drunk, proposing marriage to a hagraven (a witchy bird-woman), slaughtering innocent people who may have come to trust you at one point or another, getting high off crushed gemstones and vampire remains, engaging in cannibalism, and much, much more. 7. "Cold As Ice" in Heavy Rain, which requires you to survive a house explosion by pulling an Indiana Jones and hide away in a fridge. Did we learn nothing from that movie, or the many glaring flaws it exposed itself to?

Don't forget that for the daedric artifacts, two of the quests can give you items that don't count. The Rueful Axe and Saviors hide do not count to it.

+AGamingGamer Actually, the savior's hide does count; it's the ring that doesn't. As for the rueful axe, it doesn't count because you're supposed to spare the dog at the end of that quest. Did you kill the dog? Because the only way to get the real Daedric artifact for that particular area is to spare the dog. He then gives you the masque of Clavicus Vile.

Oh the Kerotan trophy for MGS 3: Snake Eater, what memories...and I still hate the one at the airfield so much. I had to replay that section so much I almost had a mental breakdown. Then at the end of the game...surprise...NO TROPHY! Fortunately they keep "counting" so I quickly did playtrough 3 and what did you know, the one I missed was in the very beginning. The relief was immense, no Kerotan adventure again from start to finnish for me luckily. Was so happy to get my Platinum trophy, good times.

And did you know that once Yuna completes her section of the grid if you take her down Lulu's section until she gets ultima then Lulu becomes obsolete. It's because Yuna's section has way more magic plus spheres than Lulu's so Yuna's magic is much stronger than Lulu's. Once you get Yuna ultima, you've got yourself a badass White mage, Black mage, and Summoner all in one character. And this can actually be achieved even before the Calm lands

In that one you had to kill 10 enemy gang members by stunning them with "Fart in a Jar" and then beating them to death with a 6 foot purple Dildo. I mean a frozen fish sounds almost plausible as a weapon in comparison. I'm sure Jackie Chan's done that one a few times. :p

Grim Fandango Remastered has been published this year with refined control scheme when compared to the original "tank controls" on the PC version. But, it features a gold trophy called "The Right Way" with the subtitle being "Play the whole game with tank controls. Tim demanded this trophy." :) So, O went and finished the game with hard and non-intuitive "tank controls", just because Tim Schaffer said so!

To be fair, you DO obtain the Stealth Camo for earning the "It Ain't Easy Being Green" trophy. If you're like me, you did this ridiculous task on the original release on the PS2... back before there were Trophies! Now THAT is ridiculous. Not to have done it once, but to have actually done it twice! Adding insult to injury, the first time I obtained this ranking was on a 12 hour single playthrough that started at 7:00 PM and ended as the sun came up the next morning around 7:00 AM. - Good thing I love MSG3! (My personal favorite MGS game.) - Cheers!

Idea for a future one of these - 7 times where you can name the protagonist to get hilarious results. Two ones spring to mind, South Park Stick of Truth where you can call your character Douchebag (there’s a trophy for that one) and FFIX where you can call Dagger Garnet to completely ignore the whole point of changing her name. That’s the one that made me think of it!

New addition to crazy things for trophies. Human Revolution's Missing Link DLC. Play the entire DLC mission without using any weapons (guns, grenades, mines - hand to hand takedowns are allowed) and without using any Praxis Points (the level up bonuses that XP earns you) to unlock all those badass abilities. If you're playing on Director's Cut, you've also got the problem that, realistically speaking, you're so used to those abilities that you rely on them without thinking. "Oh, there's a guard patrol here, I'll just go invisible....nope. Oh, a level 5 hacking thing that lets me turn a Box Guard (giant robot armed with miniguns and rocket launchers) on the guards instead of looking for me? Nope, you can only hack at level 1, and even if you could hack into the terminal, you can't access robots yet. It's certainly doable - I did it on my first playthrough of the game (which is on easy and making considerable use of the quicksave and quickload features available to PC gamers) but it's still one of those things nobody would ever try without knowing the achievement is there, taunting them. (Why it's a hidden achievement on Steam, I don't know.)

Dead Rising (original) - kill a zombie with a hot frying pan. That was one of my favorites, and was early in the days of Xbox Achievements. Back when people didn't look at the list as if it was some kind of set of life goals that must be completed to have a feeling of self worth. I came across it by sheer chance, and thought it was so simple yet satisfying.

Witcher 3 ... that Woodland Spirit quest .. had all the trophies except that one and missed it and was gutted... thanks to New+ game I managed to get it in 3 hours from the very start of the game. Rob is a star.
