I used to take antidepressants, and went to therapy. For years I did this. It made my depression worse and I hardly slept, making me feel suicidal. I decided to stop meds and therapy. Started working out, getting sun and just allowing the feelings to happen. It changed my life. Side note, being a mother of 8, having my last baby 20 months ago at 42, the weight has been a challenge. The moment I start working out, I’m happier, more confident and my husband and I get along better. Sex life gets better too. Also, if my husband works out and I don’t, his high vibes annoy me. When we work out as a family, we’re all happy. Especially if we use the outdoors for part of our fitness. If you’re on the fence about working out and lifting weights, just do it. It will change your life. The eating and better sleeping will follow. Also, GET SOME SUN!!!

Breitenbush Hot Springs Resort and Retreat in Detroit Oregon is a great place for soaking in the hot cold mineral springs outside year round & using the sauna. We use to live in Alaska and would drive to Chena Hot Springs Resort to stay in a cabin. We would go soaking in the hot mineral springs outside under the stars or sunlight watching the wildlife. Hot Springs AR is another fabulous place for soaking in the hot, cold mineral springs. These waters are very healing. We know about limiting social media 😂😂😂🎉. We use the dry sauna mostly every day now for 15 years! Also we do earthing outside cold weather 🥶 or hot weather..dry brushing is great for the body..🎉............. Great episode. Glad you brought up social media. FYI, studies have shown that women are far more negatively impacted by social media.

I am going to be 55 next week. When I was growing up, fast food was fast, and it was food. I ate Mc Donalds, Taco Bell, Burger King, etc. Now it is not food. You described perfectly what it is now. I noticed in the early 2000's is when it started tasting weird. By around 2010, I was done eating fast food. I told my family I was no longer eating food that tastes horrible and that it no longer tasted like food. I would eat Chick-fil-A once in a while but I quit eating fast food a long time ago. People in Texas love their Sonic and Whataburger. Most people think I am crazy because I havent tried it and we moved here in 2012. Social media is not my jam. I always wondered why I never felt good after being in Facebook, KZbin, etc. I only have those 2 platforms. I rarely go into Facebook maybe once a week for about 10-15min but I get depressed. Its not my jam. I like podcasts here in KZbin but I have to be careful with my time here because too much phone time makes me depressed. I appreciate you sharing your experience in social media. It made me feel like I am normal because so many people think I am strange because I do not do much social media. Thank you. Blessings. 🙏

By the way, Dan Buettner, author of the Blue Zones books, said a few years ago, he moved his family to Miami Florida, so he could walk more, get to know his neighbors and play pickle ball😂. Like him or not he is spot on! We are car-lite! Americans drive far too much. Like Dan Buettner or not he is spot on................. Walkable community works for us, but we are not vegetarians, age 71, physically fit, speaking 3 foreign languages

Love, Love, Love your Sleep Book. I've read about 30 books this last year on brain and body health. Your book was a favourite. It is so well written. What I liked the most was the way you broke the topic up into 21 strategies. It made it accessible to both the newbie and someone who is more knowledgeable about the topic. I put many of your suggestions into practice and it has greatly improved my sleep. Everyone should read this book. Get a physical copy. Mark it up and reference it frequently.
