Not sure if this feature was changed as I don't actually own the game, but anyway: There is (or at least was at some point) a small chance that a Mushroom spawned by a ? Block would instead be a Weird Mushroom. However, when testing a level or verifying it, the game will not spawn Weird Mushrooms unless the creator intended for it to spawn. Somebody made a course that pushed the player through some sort of conveyor belt that spawned hundreds of Mushrooms from ? Blocks. There was such a small chance of not spawning at least one Weird Mushroom that it was essentially guaranteed. At the end, there was a contraption that would let Normal Mario through, but would kill Lanky Mario. Since there was no way of becoming Lanky Mario in verification, but essentially a 100% chance of it when playing the published level, it was truly impossible.

Well, if you watched his last video, he actually managed to pull of a litterally impossible level, using an older version of the game to perform the patched two-state block glitch. When he went into the most recent version, the glitch, which was patched in a later uptade, made the level absolutely impossible

For those of you who don't know how to wall jump with a spring, I know how to do it, here's the trick. 1. Hold your spring. 2. Press your dash, and jump button at the same time. ( B and Y ) 3. Run towards a wall, and jump. 4. While holding the two buttons, let go, this will make Mario slide down the wall. 5. Press the two buttons again. This will cause him to jump, and catch the spring at the same time. 6. Repeat steps 4 and 5.

Interesting Mechanik: if the bottom part of a checkpoint is in a one block high wall and underneath the ground/wall thingy is free space, the checkpoint will place Mario in the room beneath! This is what bowser calls a "did you die?" Contraption! Also I might give you later the codes to 2 levels with interesting mechanics for example bowsers storage ship unfair!

I found a minor "glitch". In the castle theme in SMW, do the following: 1. Get a yoshi 2. Use yoshi and eat a cape feather 3. Spit it onto a note block 4. Let it fall to the lava

I encountered a dead end with a fire flower bouncing on a note block (only one block height underneath) next to a tall red cannon. You had to go under the note block, time your jump, and somehow Mario was pushed into the red cannon and popped out the top. It was crazy! I actually didn’t get it until I downloaded and edited the level, expecting to see some hidden block. Nope, it’s just a weird glitch the creator expected you to figure out.

With 9 blocks of empty space in between place a block above the spring. If you get on Yoshi, jump on it and reach max height. Just as you reach max height jump off of Yoshi. You should both fall back down to the spring in the same block but not on Yoshi.* *Yoshi should jump off the spring slightly before MARIO does. When you get to the spring jump with max height. When you fall back for the first time you will go right through Yoshi. I would email you a video of me doing the glitch but you don’t have any business email in your bio. **_Ceave_** if you read this comment and decide to put it into a video please give me a shoutout. There is actually a glitch in the super mario bros 3 mode that when you place a P-switch or a spring on top of a hidden block and you hit it with your tanooki tail, the item falls through solid ground blocks until it finds an opening gap.

Okay so if we devide marios canon height, beeing 1.55 meters, by 2 (which is how many blocks mario is tall) then we find that one block is 0.775m, and now that mario can jump around 19 blocks in the air with only a spring and a wall, then that mean that mario can jump a staggering 14.725 metersin the air, that's at least 6 times as high as the highest ever recorded jump by any average human on earth. Isn't that scary?

Edit: I actually just found one, I think. y2u.be/gz5VW1Ma27U It seems to be debatable whether this is actually impossible or not. The problem is that how the game determines rng is unknown. In a truly random situation, there is always a chance, no matter how big or small it is, that you will never get a weird mushroom. The problem though is that chance should be about 27%. You have a 1% chance to get a weird mushroom, or 99% chance not to get one, and there are 132 mushrooms. So, 0.99^132=27%. BUT, the level seems to have a zero percent clear rate. I've searched almost the entire comment section but can't seem to find any definitve answer, other than speculation that it is due to how the game determines rng.

@@TheTonyMcD Smash Boss' level has already been beaten. Someone did it on stream. It's an RNG level, so it's not actually impossible like the title suggests. There are actually thousands of impossible levels online, which is do to Nintendo retroactively patching techniques and glitches out the game. In fact, Nintendo didn't just globally patch out glitches, but they've even changed how high a vine grows from a hidden block which has caused retroactively impossible levels.

It's because a calculation point is 1 block and mini crouch Mario is 1/5 a block so the calculation point is calculated from the bottom which means 1/5 of mini crouch Mario calculation point is higher than the hitbox

Theoretically, could you make Mario jump even higher by having him triple jump, then grab a spring on a track on the way during the third jump? Then he can wall jump, spring jump, and ground pound as normal. Sounds like he would be able to get a couple of blocks higher, but I'm not sure.
