They don't watch these videos. It would be nice if you explained the hand a little, in the AQo hand IDK if we are in or out of position. if it's a SRP and the positions of the players. Assuming btn vs bb after 75%(125% also possible) bet on the flop and checking turn the main line is to check AQo, you only bet with the Q of diamonds. You assigned hands like A3 and A4 to villain which they can't have, A4d is a flush, the off suit variations should be folded, even by a fish so that leaves the A3 and A4 of spades, but they can't have that because we have the A of spades.

I feel extremely confident in my poker knowledge and play. I win most of the times I play. The only thing I struggle with is how to maintain the cool once you get a bad beat or something. A very typical day for me could be to start off at 100$, play very nice poker til 800-900 $, then get hit by 1 big slam on something unlucky or set vs set- but the issue then is how to have the discipline to step away, cool down, or not freak out over maybe having lost 400$ when "I had 900". Any advice to that moment? How to stay cool and remain in "your game"?

Some of the best poker content. Fluff free, straight to the point, simple fundamental based, and non confusing. I downloaded the free WSOP poker app yesterday just to mess around for the first time to get a feel for the game. Came across your videos and started winning way more on just a FTP account and already in K rank. I so happen to live in Las Vegas, and I think I'm going to continue my training to eventually hit the real tables. Thank you man!

And well, at my casino, if you raise limpers with a marginal hand like A9s or A10s (which looks better than it is) five callers are a regular thing at 1/2 NL. You have to go to 25 or 30 to get heads up or get everyone to fold.

This advice is solid for the most part especially folding to the rock lol. Snap folded top 2-pair a couple of sessions ago and it was 💯 the right decision. This is the hardest lesson is learning how to **overfold** at lower stakes.

I was in BB and had 95o and checked my option with 3 limpers. Flop comes 95Q Two diamonds. I bet 3bb, next player jams all in for like 20+ bb. I folded bottom two and the table was criticizing my fold. Why would I risk that 20+ bb for a pot that only had like 6bb to begin with

I agree, for the most part, obviously the preflop action is so important. Assuming you raised w pockets aces preflop, not likely a "rock" is calling w any of the other hands listed other than two j or 9 in my opinion. A rock isn't playing 10 7, suited or otherwise or q 10, pocket 5s. That's why he is a rock. Those are fishing hands, amd are typically behind to preflop raise. I am enjoying these videos though, just stumbled across them and will subscribe. Thank you !

Always raise the limpers? I prefer to raise depending on the situation, the amount of limpers, the player profile of the players still to act, stack depth. For example if we have an agressive player to our left, you dont need to 3bet. you can let him do the 3 betting. And be last to act preflop. Lets say you have stacks to your left that are likely going to ship it. Why 3 bet? This way you tighten their shipping range. And with a call. You give them all options to hang themselves. Depending on the positon you get the most information preflop. While keeping your range wider.

Another cool video. I have question about example 5 if you are suggesting that the player you are playing against has 15% vpip then is really 99, 88, 55, T7 in their range? Sure JJ and QT beats you and this does fit in his range but i dont why you consider pockets with such a tight player. Im really curious for the reasoning

I approve this message. As a top 0.1% player I do those things. Although I do not raise all limpers, not when they are good or limping AA or KK too often. Furthermore the AQ value bet would not work against me being a top 0.1% player I would make you fold that AQ too often.

Thin value occasionally means betting the 2nd best hand. You’re still printing money in the long run (any database will confirm this) by getting in those 1/2 pot river value bets against calling stations.

I'd have say on tip #1, if that runout happened in that order (KQ743), if you have a Q and he's called two bets, betting the river against a fish is a bad idea. Either he missed his draw or he has a K. it's not a small part of a fish's range after a KQ7 flop. EDIT: I don't mean to say this info isn't valuable..it is. I just mean that particular example. If the runout was Q734K, then this is 100% correct.

Half pot is a "value bet" when there's a K on the flop and we have a Queen? Are you serious? Oh I would check down every single time and fold to any substantial bet. The small percentage issue gets a little more real when there is still someone in the pot with a 9 way table and you're at the river with middle pair!

Well i was at a 4 grand tournament 4 hours in, i get AT of spades. Flop comes 2 ♠️ 5 ♠️ and something else not relevant in this hand. Good I bet I get two callers to my direct left. I'm OOP. Turn comes 3 ♠️ so I'm like that's pretty. I bet again pretty much a third they both call me. So I'm like this is nuts. Well the river comes 6 ♠️ and i bet big a bit less than half my stack. Player to my left goes all in for a few more than my bet and third player goes in the tank... I'm thinking wtf is going on here. They both have flushes? Maybe with the K... third player eventually calls and I shove on him. Bad move maybe but the fact is he folds the THIRD NUTS with K Q ♠️ I flip over my hand, pretty content with myself and the last guy goes "turn them over I don't want to touch them" he had 4 4 with the 4 ♠️ for the actual super nuts. Nut flush vs straight flush. The sad thing is that usually in a cash game in that same place that exact straight flush 2 through 6 is the jackpot of 1 grand. In a tournament there's no jackpot... he said for the hand I had he would have split the jackpot and called it a day... what a hand though. Happened two days ago and I still can't stop thinking about it.

Also remember that 6x7x suited has at least 20% equity against any over pair. So if you have a player that only plays big pairs, and you get 67 suited, you might want to look them up. 56, 78, and 89 suited also play well, but just about 1% less than 67. If you don't think 1% edge is a lot, talk to a pro who plays 20k hands a week, like Nate here.
