Just bcs "real" salt has all these minerals, that does NOT mean that we can absorb them. So can you link me the study that proves otherwise? Until then, no thanks :S What can I say.. I don't approve wasting money. Pretty sure humans did not use salt supplements a few thousand years ago. And there is evidence which concludes that salt (pink salt included) can be harmful to humans. Killing cells and not letting them absorb all the vitamins and minerals. I hope salt is indeed the great amazing thing you claim it to be, but I'm just not sure about it. Definitely seems to treat muscle twitching ... but what is the root cause of it in the first place? Why would I try to treat it with supplements?

When I saw this I thought no way - they tell us we get way too much salt in our diet anyway. I've been having heart arrhythmia problems for several years and my doc wants to put me on drugs and start doing ablations. So after seeing this video I added up my daily salt intake which is easy to do since I have a very simple diet. I was shocked to find out I'm only getting 17% of the RDA of salt. Plus I drink tons of plain water each day. I'll start adding more salt to my diet - who knows, maybe it will cure my heart problem. Thank you for this video,

Yeah I agree that the salt will make your cramps go away. But I think what's helping your memory is the eggs. It's not the salt. Eggs have cholesterol and our brain is made of mostly cholesterol so I think of cholesterol as brain food.

When we moved to a hot country in '71, we were recommended salt tablets. This worked wonders for headaches and cramps. Whenever I get cramps, I eat salt and the cramps are gone in 30 seconds. As a child, I would be given warm milk with a bit of salt for growing pains and this would work quickly. Why doesn't everyone know this?

My symptoms of low sodium was lack of motivation and no dreams. First it came as slight fatigue. Stayed as slight fatigue for a long time. Once I started drinking salted water, within 2 days the motivation and energy returned and I began to dream again.

Some anthropologists claim Paleolithic man ate a high potassium, low sodium diet. In their viewpoint man only began consuming a lot of sodium during the Neolithic Age when agriculture produced excess food that needed to be stored by salting it. Many Neolithic communities were located near sources of salt for this reason. However, Paleolithic hunters also would have had a need for salt to preserve windfall kills. I find it hard to believe ancient humans exploiting coastal resources would not have eventually stumbled upon the preservative property of salt. Even before that they would have noticed land mammals visiting salt licks and copied their behavior. If what seems to be the predominant anthropological view is true, we had only about 10,000 years to adapt to a high sodium diet. If my common sense view is true, we had about 2,000,000 years to do so (from the emergence of the genus Homo). It's hard and foolish to buck 2,000,000 years of evolution.

Lack of salt actually can cause migraines, not just headaches. I've started taking salt multiple times a day plus additional hydration, and I've been migraine free (except for one tension migraine that isn't from salt) for a month! This is after over a year of 5/7 migraine days a week and multiple medications from a neurologist. I'm weaning myself off the daily preventative with zero recurrence so far!

Thats why tablesalt is so dangerous, it lacks all the other minerals, its just pure natrium with or without iodine (another mineral so many people lack though) and totaly messes up all mineral contents in every cell of your body. In some ways they are right too much salt is bad for you, but they twisted their story to what suits them. They deliver the cure before its even needed and this cure is a spinning wheel that never stops.

@AnnaMaria-zm8cv
@AnnaMaria-zm8cv 4 ай бұрын
@@hymns4ever197 I see it like this, if you up your sodium and magnesium intake you will likely use the potassium in your food better than without adding extra salt. Over the course of time I learned so much about nutrition and not everything is valid, but I got for me now a schedule that seems to work for me, feeling so much better. But most of all my heart is not acting up anymore. It all starts with balancing your magnesium intake it should always be focused on magnesium because whatever nutrient you deal with, if magnesium is not in balance the absorbtion will not be optimal. I figured in my case low magnesium was triggering all deficiencies I probably had bothering me (B1, D3, Potassium and Sodium).

Sole Water Recipe What you need: Large mason jar (16-20 ounces). The exact size doesn’t matter. As long as you see some salt on the bottom the next day, it means the water is fully saturated. Start with 1/3rd to 1/2 cup of Himalayan, Celtic and/or Redmond’s Real salt, and then add more if no salt remains at the bottom overnight. The goal is to saturate the water fully, and you’ll know this with a little salt remaining on the bottom. (After having this article up for a while, it seems like 2 cups is too much salt for the larger mason jars. You can always add more water as the mason jar reduces, too.) Drinking water

Can you please share what exactly you do? How much salt do you put in water as mouthwash and how long should I gargle or let it stay inside my mouth before spitting it out? From what I understand I don't need to rinse with water so that my body will still benefit from the residue of the salt water, am I right?

@ I dissolve about a teaspoon of salt in 250-300 mls of water (shake it up in the bottle is enough) and just sip in enough to swirl it around your mouth making sure it gets into the teeth and gums . Do it for 5-10 secs and then just spit it out . I don’t gargle it but you can try that as well if you like.

I totally agree about the cramps, my wife decided I was having too much salt in my food and put me on a low salt diet. I can’t describe the agonising cramps I used to have, it was like waves crashing on the shore. As soon as one cramp would subside another came crashing in. As soon as my salt intake increased again it was no more, my blood pressure has always been on the high side but as a pretty fit 60 year old male I’m still in good shape.😊

@dianerowley2469 Same here, but that was 1986 when my husband had a stroke. "NO SALT!", I was told. Nine months later, he collapsed from a severe heart attack, then unconscious. Later I was told he'd also bled out into his brain. He died four days later. I raised our three kids by myself for the next 16 years. Salt might have helped, but we'll never know.

I increased daily potassium to 3,000 mg by eating two salads a day (2 cups spinach to 1 cup beet greens, plus 1 electrolyte drink during workouts plus food sources). All of this decreased sodium and i felt lethargic. I eat clean at home and only get salt in my food if i proactively add it, so trying to get at least 1,500 mg/day of sodium between Himalayan sea salt & electrolyte drink. Be careful when u increase potassium to healthy levels since potassium and sodium have to be managed together. Huge difference!

I am normally pretty active and fit but really started to feel a downhill trend over the past few months. The brain fog was becoming unbearable. I accidentally found this chanel and was intrigued. I checked my diet and realised that i had virtually no salt in my diet. With nothing to loose took a tsp of salt. Well withonin an hour the brain fog had lifted, i felt like some one had given me a new pair of glasses. That was three days ago. The change is remarkable. I take 1/2 rpn of salt three times a day. My body feels the most relaxed it has for years and my joints are great and I no longer have sore eyes. Thank you so much. My golfing mates are going to get a lecture 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for the info you posted here! I’ll pass this on to my brother and nephew, who are the ones left alive to get migraines. (I’m 65. I had my first migraine at age 14, on a family car trip in the summer. Looking back, I was probably dehydrated and low on salt. 2:19 ) I’ve been eating a carnivore diet for 16 months now.
