For the record, I’m 48 now. I’ve known Leila and Alex (I was an OG Gym Launch client) for 6ish years and I’m still learning from both of them. I’ve invested heavily in coaching over the last decade of being an entrepreneur and Alex and Leila are brilliant, good people, and wise beyond their year by light years!!! The best coaches I’ve had to date…. I can not say enough good about them

@@shawnbruce6934 a lot of what she says is just regurgitated from self help books and programs. Self help has been around for 50 years.. Most people simply don't have the wherewithal to do it. She and Alex had no money, no family, nothing to lose and they were very motivated by fear and getting out of the pickles and bad decisions they made.

6:00 Good advice! I have an aunt whose husband suddenly passed when she was in her mid-50s. Years later, I asked her how she’d rebuilt her life so well, after such a crushing blow, and she said the best advice she received was to, “Say yes to every invitation.” Even though she wanted to hole up and lick her wounds, she forced herself to stay active with her bridge club and the other people who were reaching out to support her. She had two sisters, and I often marvel at how much happier her life is now, at age 85, than either my reclusive mom or depressive aunt ever were, even when they were young.

1. Always invest in yourself - invest every last bit of dollar you have, even if you have to scrimp on your meals and groceries to invest in yourself, do it. 2. Don't be afraid to shed friends if they are unwilling to support your growth (This is my favourite) 3. Saying yes to everything to create a better baseline for yourself 4. Find different mentors for different areas of life 5. Be comfortable being alone, you will understand yourself so much better 6. Traded social media and TV for reading 7. Learn to expand your work capacity (if you want the rest of your life to be easy, you should make the first part of your life hard) Bonus: Go hard in your 20's to set up your life because you don't have all the baggage. Please watch the full video for the full context, it's good!

I’m 27, and I wish I had been more aware of all this earlier in my 20s. I’m not currently living the life I dreamed of, but I’ve realized I didn’t do much to achieve that life. On the other hand, I firmly believe it’s better late than never. Your advice is truly valuable, and starting today, November 1st, I will take action every day to achieve the life I want.

I became an overachiever once I moved out on my own. Everything began to shift. People were mean, and very nasty to me. I couldn't comply, and this became my motivation. I got what I wanted out of life once I saw that I was alone in the world. I didn't need anyone where I was going. No one thought like me. I accomplished every task. I know what you mean.

A quick tip for filming your next video, from a freelance filmmaker : Use manual focus to prevent the image to get blurry. There's a switch on the left side of your lens, in most cases, where you'll have to switch it from 'AF', to 'MF'. You should only do this for video like this where you don't move but stay at the same distance from the camera. Thanks for the valuable video!!

I totally agree with all these habits. Self-learning in subjects that we are actually interested in whether or not it produces a result in the short term tends to do so in the long term. My only question would be where'd you get your motive "let me learn as much as I can so this will be my baseline" from? That doesn't seem like a common 20-year-old thought either.

I have the exact same thoughts since I was 17. I started reading business, finance, and investing books at that age and have since then read a ton of books and bought numerous specific skills courses. I’m 21 now, you can’t really put an age on hunger for knowledge. Regardless of age people want better for themselves. Even at 13 I wanted to be an entrepreneur. I always have… and at 17 I made thousands selling on poshmark. It’s just all about what you want.

Leila is on a completely different level. I’m the same age and I can say I’ve learned the exact same lessons - but acting on/applying them is what separates the depressed sheep from the happy, fulfilled lions…I’m still applying these every now and then but it’s great to see the full capacity of what could happen when you decide to go all in with growth and being the best you can be. This video is so great thank you. I agree on we either sacrifice and pay the price upfront young and quickly. Or, when we are old we pay the price of regret that we didn't go for it. Life gets harder as we get older in my opinion. It's better to make the choices and sacrifices before having a wife and kids. My wife and I made the decision to build our small empire while we were young in our early 20's and I absolutely reap the rewards now and forever. Put in the work then more work with extra work and we will be amazed at the results. Love it Leila!
