Another way to get people to say yes instead of no is to offer them 2 choices, where the first is more unappealing, and the 2nd one is the one that you want them to agree to. People are less inclined to say no and since there's a choice they are more likely to select the easier option instead of saying no.

Something I've done to both get to know someone better and get them to like me a little more is I try and center the conversation around them. I ask about them, how their day was, what their favorite movie is, what they've been up to, their hobbies, passions, job, etc. People like talking about themsevles and are more inclined to people who let them talk about themselves.

I like to say the person's name in written or in person communication more than once as it gives them comfort to discuss more with you or in the midst of a serious conversation you could slightly change your tone or pronunciate a word in a "humorous" manner. I found that it lightens the mood and you may see a giggle. That being said, I look for nonverbal cues initially to see if maybe I could put someone at ease.

I learned something funny from a tv show once way back. I had a boss who kept giving me extra stuff to do that wasn’t my job and I didn’t have the self-worth to stand up for myself when I was overwhelmed (and noticed the person who’s job it was to do the tasks was typically lazy). Anyhow, all you do is walk around the office looking frustrated, shaking a piece of paper, while making exasperated noises. I swear it worked. I had a good laugh about that one.

Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret, favour, and recall information in a way that confirms or supports one's prior beliefs or values. It is an important type of cognitive bias that has a significant effect on the proper functioning of society by distorting evidence-based decision-making.❤️

I've found when somone walks into a room I say hello and their name so " hi psi" smile and compliment or start a conversation and then go do what you and to and come back to them. I'm slowly trying to change my friendship groups and I'm getting on well with a group of girls in my class. So when I walk in the mourning I let them know I've noticed them and am being genuine. I know that I love it when people say hello to me and say my name and definitely love being complemented, being nice outs others in a good mood they associate with you. People I knew before this say they dont like me very much and that I'm annoying but people I've tried this with say I'm kind and fun to be around

"Talk faster...". I learned to speak fast because I felt ignored, both in my family of older sibs, at school where I wasn't a good student, and later at work because people have a short attention span. For some reason, as an adult, people always thought I was smart, which amazed me, having been a weak student as a child. Now that you say speaking fast makes people think you're smart, I'm wondering if my "coping mechanism" ended up making me "fascinating" ; )

I was just quietly listening but then I couldn't take it any longer, so I opened my mouth and said with a fast and clear voice, "Why judge their beauty standard? They don't judge yours." Almost immediately, the room fell quiet and all of them said nothing. P.s. we're Filipinos so they were talking in tagalog then I spoke in english. Because they couldn't come up with a comeback in english so they just shut up haha.

The mirroring definitely works. Speaking fast is impossible when you're on the spectrum. I win arguments by quick fire texting. And yes, I'll often go first to get stuff out the way. Didnt realise this would go in my favour. 😂 The "don't worry, I'll find someone else" grates. I've had that done to me and it feels manipulative. If they say "you have free choice," why do they look so angry when I say "well, find someone else then, cos I don't wanna do it"? They say it but don't mean it. It's emotional blackmail.

I sway people to do what I want with eliminating choices and making it easy. If I want to go kayaking with friends, I load up both my kayaks, and call my friends that have kayaks and a friend that hasn't been indoctrinated yet, and call all of them and say I'm going kayaking today, and invite them. Usually works since those of with kayaks rarely go along, so an improptu easy invitation is an easy yes, and we get one more member of our group by lending them my spare.

I've been forced to piano lessons as well, but I sabotaged them by simply pretending that I am sick. Spent half the time faking coughs and sneezes🙈 until the teacher gave up. I also got pushed to taekwondo, though I had a choice: either that or an instrument. Back then the only kids I knew who could play instruments were those know-it-all-a-grade-kids who seemed so boring and spineless and I hated them, cuz my parents wanted to mold me into one of them. Taekwondo was dope, though, so I'll give my parents that. Have you guys been pushed to "good" things and ever wondered, how your life would've turned out if it weren't the case? I was pushed to high school and then college graduation which may be good but my upbringing and my experiences in general came at a high cost, I'm pretty sure. Now I lack confidence completely and can't find a way with women. I wonder if I was happier without those type of personal accomplishments if my past had been a little bit more gentle in many regards. I think I would trade happiness with success right away. To have both seems like a stretch as of know. Thank you 4 reading.😘
