Thank you so much for mentioning not putting too much pressure on yourself. These kinds of videos usually tend to trigger my perfectionism, but this one didn't. It felt really calm and inspiring. I hope it did help you. - a fellow overthinker

lucy! there's a concept i love and find very comforting in the tarot. it sounds a bit woo-woo but i think it's a useful poetry to look at life through... maybe you'll find it useful, as i have x here's a simplified version: within the numbered cards of the minor arcana, odd numbers represent a growth and/or unrest, while even cards represent stability and/or stagnation. odd and even have both positive and negative qualities or feelings, but they never exist outside the bigger movement from 1 through 10 (and back again)! in this view, no period (however long or short) of stasis and stagnation, unrest and upheaval, is unproductive. it always, without a doubt, contributes to a larger momentum -- more often than not, in ways you can can only see with hindsight!

i am dying at you eating a rice bowl with fork and knife 😂 anyway, these are almost exactly the things i do when i'm overwhelmed too! breaking things down to the smallest steps and focusing on that has been life-changing

Videos like this one are so valuable. Definitely some good reminders in there and also some new perspectives! Love the zooming out as in Google earth metaphor. That could help me. :)) Keep on rocking, Lucy. You‘re basically one of the three KZbinrs I watch still and it will remain that way, as long as you‘re publishing content. Are you gonna record another video essay soon?

I always find your videos so relaxing and down to earth, so I would add to the list as well! 😊 I also love the advice about focusing on the next step! I have a very indecisive brain but this technique does me wonders! Another thing is to focus on the _why_ I'm doing something, instead of the _what_ .

If anyone else is feeling overwhelmed by having lots of bid projects and things that they feel like should be happening but you don’t have the time to do them right now, I’ve found it can be really helpful to write them all out in a big list. Otherwise everything keeps bouncing around in my brain and reminding me that it needs to be done at some point. Writing it out tells my brain “it’s ok, we already have it on the list, it’s not going to be forgotten” and it makes my thoughts quieter and helps me focus on the thing I’m actually supposed to be doing. An alternative to this is if there’s something that isn’t going to take a lot of time, then maybe stopping whatever you’re doing for 15 minutes to just “do a task” and then it’s done, can also help calm the thoughts.

Words can not describe how I miss GRWMs and seasonal wardrobe videos. I can imagine that after so many of those, you've kind of moved on especially when all of the social media platforms are saturated with this type of content. But there was something about yours that I am still hanging on to them and rewatch. Religiously 💔

Lucy, you probably know it, but heart palpitations can be related to thyroid. Especially important if you have Hashimoto, maybe you need different dosage of your hormones. But it might be also just caffeine 😅

herbal tea after brushing teeth is fine as long as you don't do mouthwash! the real problem would be tea which stains the teeth - and if you drink anything that has sugar in it you'd need to re-brush.
@lumosxo

ideally you shouldn't drink anything after brushing your teeth - you flush out fluoride from the toothpaste - this is why you also don't rinse your mouth with water afterwards :)
@diinalens

@@lumosxo what i didn't know that! all my info comes from my dental hygenist who i quizzed because i am lowkey addicted to chamomile lol and she said it was fine as long as i wait about 10 minutes after i brushed before i take a sip. varying opinions i guess 🤷🏻‍♀️
