Codis just had forgettable names that Tom seems to forget they already reviewed it when it was called Codex Naturalis and in a tin container. Wonder why they changed the name from Codex to Codis

Codis Naturalis (formerly known as Codex Naturalis) introduced the core mechanism of Meadow: spend cons to gain icons to gain points!

Did it really “introduce”? Orchard 9 card solitaire (2018) has tree “icons” that get “spent” and you gain more tree “icons”. Walking in Provenance (2019) has layering where you can “spend” icons to gain more “icons” like wind mills or sunflowers if you want to be more specific with “icons”. I don’t know, I haven’t played all games with Layering mechanism, but if Codex Naturalis was the firstnin something, I guess that would be interesting.

Why did they feel like they needed to rename Codex to Codis? Makes no sense. What do Codis even mean? Other than that must say that I like this style of speedy reviews with a rundown.

Quartz: Dice seems like a poor man's Dice Miner, where any strategy has been removed completely.
