Love the tee-shirt and it's sentiments. Good common sense video.

My neck is too stiff, so I can't stand in a straight line to the board. But I still shoot pretty well after a lot of practice.

Great reminders for beginners and those who have shot for a while... always good to think about the basics. And I love the t-shirt by the way!

@@thebarebowbrummie I started archery only 18 months ago & went to Barebow straight away. This is particularly useful because Barebow is all about maintaining good form.

@adrianneale3368 you're quite right. I've shot barebow for many years after switching from freestyle Olympic and love the challenge of barebow shooting. Enjoy the archery journey.

Thank you very much indeed. Up to now, I have though everything about archery. However, certain points get out of control and require refreshment and lots of practice until they become automatic and consistent.

Don’t let the string go, just stop holding it. 🤗🤗

I started my course 2 weeks ago, but i still come back to certain videos. What is different than how you do it is how youre holding the string, i have mine 3 under but with tab on im just above the end crease of the finger's, idk i just find this way more comfortable for me. Even though most say im doing it wrong, although i will try this method because ive learned abit since last visited your channel. I know time, work, etc. But would be great to have more vids. Especially the eye dominant one you did. I reasonatly found my left eye has issues. Which i found out at a eye examination. I cant see straight lines and letters can often disappear, and if i close my right eye its near on impossible to read, for you a T would be that T for me its I or a break in the middle. And reading with my left eye is near on impossible, its like all joined up and letters are missing. But in the process of finding out what's wrong and if it can be fixed. Also im pretty sure youre the guy i brought my samick sage off, i could be wrong as i follow alot of archers lol. But soon will need some new arrows, or i could just re fletch them, but pretty sure ive got the wrong length or too heavy or light. But in time ill make my own arrows.

I started shooting 3 under but changed to Mediterranean style pretty early on and just think I have a bit more control over my shot. It's just a preference thing, the only difference is that your aim point is slightly different (with Mediterranean you aim slightly lower). I think you maybe getting me mixed up with someone else as I've never owned a samick sage. Anyway I'm glad you've started your beginner course. Enjoy the archery journey, it's long but fun.

@@thebarebowbrummie Yes i just realised you a different brummie lol. And yer I'm just learning this stuff, and it's not easy. Any way thanks for response and i for one would like someone to show these different grips and how to apply them 😉

And if you're a beginner have an arm guard on. I'm about a month in to teaching myself archery. I'm waiting until next month for a slot to be in at my local club, but how things are going, I.e vet bills I'll probably not be able to afford it yet. Which makes me look like I'm not that interested where infact my goal is to compete. So i watch so many tutorials on archery its probably insanity, but i have to learn, money is tight and even the bows i have are cheap, apart from my Samick sage, but even that's cheap compared to a proper bow, one could compete with, idk, I've not yet seen anyone compete with a samick sage. Some channels i watch give good advice and they use the samick but there're survival guys, and I'm not in it to shoot at animals. I also found a great way to know how my form is getting on is to record myself, the last one i found my elbow was way to high, I'm right handed so my pullback elbow. I've learned all about what muscles you engage and how to put the bow shoulder right in the socket so it doesn't close the front part of the shoulder, there is a name for it but i forget. I knew the T possition but not in stance, so I've learned something new, thankyou. So yer that's me, I'm loving learning this stuff because archery wasn't what i thought when i started, my first bow was a 60lb draw back, and because i wasn't ingaging the proper muscles i burst a few blood vessels in my right arm..that was a very valuable lesson, so brought a bow from amazon which I'll never do again, long story. But still goy the £25 bow i paid £160 for, but amazon let me keep the bow and refunded me. My samick i got from a bow retailer, really helpful guy's. So my next step is to measure my draw length because my arrows are not correct, again i know about the grain weight in arrows but not ventured that far yet, so going to measure my draw length and ring the guy back up from the shop and see what arrows would suite me, it's a shame the shop is about 200 miles away, or i would visit them. Any way sorry for long rant lol, I'm abit passionate about archery its something i get alot out of mentally to. I'm uk, so giving a sub because that was straight to the point, great advice..the stance thing i will certainly do. Thankyou.

Wow, you've been through it, haven't you. Get yourself some proper personal coaching as soon as possible, as teaching yourself at home can lead to developing bad habits that are hard to change. I coach many beginners who have tried to learn alone and every one does better with good quality coaching. Enjoy the archery journey.

@@thebarebowbrummie I absolutely agree mate, and I'm really hopeful that i can afford my coaching that will start in September. But unfortunately tomorrow got to take my cat to vets, and even the consultation is £57 then there's the cost of what ever treatment she needs. But I'm hoping because my dad knows how much this means to me that he will help, i hate asking for help, but like you rightly wrote i don't want to get too attached to bad habits, but I'm trying my best to follow advice that people like you give, for me the stance was a big one. Many mention the T shape, but only you have explained it and shown it in a way i understood..so very much taking that on board. Like i wrote i live in uk, and tbh if i could choose a coach, just by one video it would be you sir. Because unfortunately the club that will coach me i kinda got bad vibes off the coach, maybe it's the long hair denim jacket with lots of metal band's on, she just didn't seem to click with me. Fortunately there's a few clubs around my area, but this one is literally round the corner..i don't drive so that's an issue to. But yes i need a coach, absolutely if I'm ever going to follow my dream of competing..
