That Teen Titans finale genuinely makes me sad. Happy Saturday everyone! Yes, yes I know this was the most voted video idea, but I work on these videos months in advance so apologies for it being so late. Anyways, I took a break for the holidays, but now I’m back for new and improved content! Here’s to 2018! :) Do you have a video idea? Let me know!

I like the implication that Terra really DID have her memories all along and she was pretending she couldn't remember anything to just have a normal life. She failed at being a superhero, she let herself become a supervillain -- and although she sacrificed herself to set things right, she's really not good at either. Her powers were just too unstable and she had too many insecurities to be a hero OR a villain. The happiest ending for her was to just forget it all and have an ordinary life and it's what she tried to do.

I always thought to myself that Terra didin't really lost her memories, she was just tired of dealing with everything she's been through. She wanted to escape and start over, trying to let go of her guilt. So, even thou she likes Beast Boy and is happy to see him well, his attempts to "recover her memory" are just hurting her.

I personally think that the Gnome ending is actually not all that bad. I mean, sure, the main characters die but In my opinion the show deals with death in a very healthy way. The gnomes know that their time on earth is over and aren't sad about it, they accept it knowing that they've had a fullfilled life. It shows children that while death may be painful and saddening, it's not always a bad thing. People can accept death and that scene came off as more serene than dark. I think it wasn't meant to traumatise children or anything like that.

Fräulein Zuckerguss I completely agree with you. I think it was rather bittersweet but healthy. Death is a natural part of life and the fact that they confronted and did a good job representing it only helps prove the quality of work the writers and staff were going for. If I had any children of my own that's something I would love to have them watch.

I feel you dude. I remember watching it with one of my family members in 2013. We got to that "final" episode and I was very VERY upset. There is a way to make a ending of a children's show not be so depressing. Like David the Gnome. It's very sad that they had to die. But they did it in a heartwarming way. Alf just Completely left us on a cliffhanger. It would have been fantastic if in the tv movie. Alf escaped and found his old family. And they help him get home to where he belongs. But no they threw ideas out the window. He really deserved a way better ending. I hope there is maybe a reboot where we get to see him get home.

We just sat there with our mouths to the ground as the camera pulled away from the Sinclair's snow-covered house. We were like "this can't be" and then the news reporter says " goodnight....and goodbye" and we were just stunned. We couldn't believe it. We immediately ran out and told our parents and even THEY couldn't believe it. Wow. Just...wow. Even now I'm stunned thinking about it. Today I see it as a cautionary tale but 9 year old me only saw it as a sad ending to an otherwise great show.

@shawnfields2369
@shawnfields2369 4 жыл бұрын
Was it because Tom Kenny was on both shows? He played Heffer on Rocko's Modern Life, and the crazy insane guy Lumpus, from Camp Lazlo too. A show I never liked much to begin with. I always found it WAY too weird, and normally, I don't mind weirdness in cartoons, but Camp Lazlo was basically trying to out-weird every other CN show. Well, it won. But, Ed, 'Edd, 'N Eddy, comes close. But, I'm glad the old man, entire show being a dream thing, wasn't the series finale. I loved watching 'Ed, Edd, 'N Eddy. And the real series finale was much better anyways, and, as much as I will always love the Teen Titans. Beloved show, their final episode just sucked at the end. It was too real, and way too heartbreaking, man. Not that everything needs to have a happy ending or a resolution, but Teen Titans just got screwed over, unfairly, and in so many ways, until Teen Titans: Trouble In Tokyo came out, and then, cleared things up, and then, they got screwed again, by Toddler Titans Go... bad enough that, in the comics, Robin and Starfire don't end up together, Starfire just goes back to her home planet, and Robin becomes an emo version of Nightwing, Raven betrays the Titans, and tries to violently murder them, Cy, I don't know. Same with Beast Boy. But, now? With the Toddler Titans? That's WAAAY worse. Trouble In Tokyo is how the Teen Titans ends, 'nuff said.

Them turning into apple trees is actually a good metaphor for death too, since (according to some beliefs) death is not an end, but a new beginning; much the same way that water evaporates and turns into vapor. Energy can not be created or destroyed, it can only transmute from one form to the next, and one might look at death the same way.

I actually hope humans die off We don’t deserve what we have we are born on earth and we are taking the species and plants for granted but it kinda represents what’s happening now because Bees are needed for plants to grow and bees are dying out because of you u guessed it humans and when the bees die like the beetles in the video the plants will die even though the dinosaurs killed the plants it still represents itself and then we will soon die after

I think the best AND worst thing about the Titans finale is that it's actually kind of ambiguous whether Terra remembers or not. Also strangely fitting for a rocky ending to a season that wasn't supposed to exist in the first place, and that was the precursor to a season that was canceled. Also what a fucking creative way to start off the Dinocalypse.

@Conrad Ferrus It showed him waking up, he was dreaming of his past. While you could argue memory is semantics, this isn't entirely accurate. People are getting hung up on the dream aspect of the scene, implying it was literally just a dream (not real). Where he was actually asleep and dreaming of his past memories. He wasn't having a conscious thought process, so technically it wasnt remembrance, but a dream in which he was recalling his past. The narrator didn't describe it well enough, the scene speaks for itself. I dont understand why this is so hard to comprehend.

I recently thought of this for some reason, but I think a good way to end Spongebob would be to end on a touching note. The whole final episode could be a situation where all of Spongebob’s friends will likely never see Spongebob again. He doesn’t have to die, and the episode doesn’t have to be too dark, just something like Spongebob decides to go somewhere and try to achieve something good in his life, like he’s finally growing up, and longing for purpose. The other characters would feel conflicted and emotional in humorous ways, but then by the end, Squidward, who kept trying to tell himself to be happy Spongebob was leaving the whole episode, feels conflicted because he hates himself. He is the last person to say something to him. “Hey Spongebob, before you go...” “Yeah, Squidward?” “...Thanks for always liking me even though I haven’t liked you back. I’m sorry.” Spongebob could then shrug it off and even laugh. “Oh Squidward, you’re so funny! You’ve always liked me!” And then he leaves. Squidward could then smile and even have a tear roll down his cheek. This idea isn’t fleshed out, but it could ultimately represent how Spongebob’s character makes other characters feel good, and his purpose is actually just being himself. I dunno. What do you guys think?

The gnome show ending, well there is nothing "dark" about it to tell the truth. It is beautiful in reallity, an old pair that loves each other so much that even in death they will be always togheter. But there is no "death", the gnomes simply turned in to trees, it is not an ending but a beginning of a new life, a cycle. The gnomes didn't died, they just transformed in something different.
