Interesting thought on Over-leveling would be what if there was a time limit type of mechanic that after so long with each boss they level up. I know there are games where everything levels with you but this they have a Start level but after every hour you haven't reached them their level increases.

Being stuck with the same arena, power level, equipment and powerset. Videos, internet pages and Discord chat rooms talking about your weaknesses, what best to use against you and you can’t change that a certain type of magic is super effective on you, nor that the ducting system is the ideal way to sneak up on you. And poor old you don’t have this type foreknowledge for your opponent. You may have some idea of what weapons, spells and accessories they have had access to, but even then you don’t know their skills.
