Often as an ENFJ, I stop saying what’s on my mind and what I think is right because of my overwhelming desire to please others. I don’t want people to leave me.

Man, when you guys go wonky, however, you can annihilate the poor INFJ friend who loves you. Any insight? Being genuine here. I love your type, so naturally, but I’ve run into one who is kind of in trouble, and man, she can be very mean to ME, in particular. It really shocked me. Sending love to you, ENFJ, from INFJ. You are one of my favorites. (Were?)
@Orburyafriendrn15 күн бұрын
i could not have said it better myself. even the contradictions. Im still shocked. Our Achilles Heel happens to be our biggest strength. No matter how much i try to turn off my care and concern for people I can't. It can be strangers I will never meet. The altruism part is too much.

I love being a ENFJ and learning to not need to look for external validation!
@francesb751526 күн бұрын
I learned to focus on developing intrinsically satisfying, motivating, and validating projects so I don't need to look outside. Instead I find people, places, and work that resonate and we find validation together. For example I moved to a creative community for an art teacher job where art is valued. To get here I substitute taught for 9 years and then taught art at a sport focus school. Live and learn and keep on my lane plugging along and adjusting.

I don't seek external validation anymore and it changed my life. I love who I am and don't need approval. The only thing is that when I make a decision I get super OCD about trying to make sure everyone around me is ok with it first. Not sure how to turn that off or if it's even possible lol

What I usually do is I look at others' behaviors, and if there's something that seems off about them I'd ask whether they're okay. I'm not sure if that's a good system, but here's another human's take.

@apostrophe-of-calamitywe can only be an influence if someone is ready. If they are walled off, they may require a different person than me. I need to respect that.

1 Speaking up for what's right- I can't help myself with this one and constantly find myself expressing my anger over the atrocities of the world 2 Overly invested- I tend to absorb emotions and sometimes go to far in looking out for other people. Empathy is a huge part of my personality 3 Always want to do new things- I always look for new things to learn 4 Always seek external validation- I do this pretty much all the time, but still have a health level of self-esteem and often use criticism as an opportunity to grow 5 Always get caught up in unrealistic expectations- I live a relatively healthy life, but often feel burdened by the problems of the world 6 Condescending- I often speak more than other classmates, or at least I used to. I learned to let others share 7 Organisation- I have ADHD so this is my weak point😂❤ Thank you so much, this helped me learn a lot more about myself I understand most of these, save for 7 😊❤

Where are the cognitive functions? Those examples are about ESFJs. ENFJ is not superficial, but complex and more about a global vision and make the world a better place, not just being good or a good leader. Ni works as a symbolic understanding of the world, and an intellectual approach that not everyone can have. Generaly using methaphores, analogies and almost in a mystical or philosophical way. That's what make them *special* and *rare*.

I often hear that ENFJs are organized and keep things neat. And while I appreciate people who are organized and try my best to keep things in order - it is extremely hard for me and I cannot say I am neat and organized as a person. I am often late, there’s often mess on my work table and I get lost in my disorganized notes. If I am tired - everything around me is a chaos. And I get tired pretty often. Deadlines actually freak me out and give me anxiety! The whole part 7 gave me anxiety actually lol Is it just me?
