@@Mrs.Pena-1 Oh, that's just INCREDIBLY SWEET of you to say!! 🥰 Thanks SO MUCH for your lovely words!! 😊😘 We really really appreciate your feedback and it makes us very happy and grateful to hear that you find our content helpful! ❤️😊😘 Regarding your situation: If you have a soft cervix, nipple stimulation could really help you go into labor. If, on the other hand, your stress levels are very high at the moment, then acupuncture could help (not only to relax, but also to induce labor - if stress holds labor back). And finally, exercises on a birth ball are always a great way to help with contractions (IF you are allowed to exercise of course)... So, maybe one of these things can help you too? 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming delivery, for you and your baby!! We are sending you LOTS of positive thoughts!! ❤️❤️

I had 2 birth partners with my 1st; My mother and my partner. I was told clear fluids only and couldn't move (Epidural went awfully!) And these bloody nightmare partners passed snacks back and forth over me and kept leaving the delivery ward together leaving me alone. 🙄 My 2nd was too fast for partner to be there and 3rd was during covid so I was also alone. 3rd was ABSOLUTELY my favourite birth experience. 4th has a set induction date for day after 3rd turns 4. 🤦‍♀️ But the plan is for partner to stay looking after the littles and I'll solo this one too. I'll be the most relaxed knowing they're with their dad keeping their routines (Neurodivergent), and I can video call them whenever I like, they can visit etc. All good. :)

" the female bladder has the capacity of about 400-600ml" ... i'm 5'2 with a short torso and have lost 1kg by emptying my bladder before. so definitely can be more than 400-600ml

Hi there! First of all, these are average numbers. And as always when it comes to statistics, AVERAGE means that it does not apply to all people. It can also mean that some people have a considerably higher or lower capacity. Second, the bladder is a distensible organ. It can store considerably more if need be. Im gettin induced due to my high blood pressure. I went to the doctor today and ive been stressed and with no contractions today. & all week ive been having them untill today none 😏
@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 2 жыл бұрын
Hi there 😊, there is a simple reason for it: your stress levels! Unfortunately, this is something we see all the time. Women have contractions when they are home and relaxed. Then there is an event that causes stress in them (like seeing their doctor). And just like that, their contractions are gone. It is a natural mechanism in your body that is supposed to shut down labor in case your body senses any danger. Of course, a doctor's visit is not a real danger. But your autonomous nervous system treats it the same way... Don't worry! As soon as you are relaxed again, they are gonna come back. And maybe, you won't need an induction then anymore... We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️

Your videos are so inspiring.. Thanks so much. So my question is this, am 38weeks presently, and i went for cervical sweeping earlier today, immediately that was done, i saw a thin blood in my down there, in the evening i noticed i lost my mucus plug and started feeling contractions in my back and pelvic area.. I called my midwife and she came to examine me and asked me to wait till the next morning... Is it safe yo wait,?
@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 8 ай бұрын
Hi there 😊, many women see SOME (!) blood after a sweep, mostly in combination with the loss of their mucus plug. Cramps and even contractions are also often reported. In fact, it happens very often, that a sweep leads to the start of labor. However, to be clear: if you experience heavy bleeding, or "fresh" blood (we say "fresh" because the mucus plug often has a brown color which is because of "old" blood which has been in there for longer - which is okay), or if you experience severe pain, then we do recommend contacting your midwife again or going to the hospital! We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi there! ❤️ We are sorry that you had an emergency C-section! Well sometimes, there is just nothing that you can do about it because there are many factors which play a role during a delivery. Hi there! Thank you for your videos! I am 35 weeks pregnant with my second and have a question. My first birth I did not have any pain up until I was 8cm dilated and I was only 2 hours pushing. Is there probability that my second labor will be similar and not have so much pain?Thanks!! ❤❤
@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes Жыл бұрын
Hi there 😊, in our experience, if you hardly experienced any pain during the dilation phase of your first delivery, it is likely to happen during your second labor too. At least, this is what we NORMALLY observe (exceptions are always possible) although we have to add that in many of those cases, those women were already quite dilated even before labor started... And we cannot tell in how far this plays a role... Still: some women either seem to have a very high pain tolerance or there are certain factors which make the whole dilation phase a lot more bearable to them. And when that's the case, it seems to apply to every delivery, not just the first one. That said, whether or not the PUSHING phase will go as smooth as during your first delivery also depends on other factors, such as the size of your baby. However, in general, second deliveries go much smoother and faster because your body has done this before. So again: NORMALLY we would expect that your second labor will be similar. But of course, exceptions are possible... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hello! I am 38 week 4 days pregnant. I feel contraction since last night but did not dilate. I was 1 finger dilated a week before and now my cervix is completly closed. Midwife done cervix examination and said pains without cervical progress may lead to c section. What should i do go for c section or wait. I feel pressure down there and regular contraction. What should i do in your recommendation? My first baby born through c section this is my second baby and i want vaginal birth.
@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes Жыл бұрын
Hi there 😊, did your midwife confirm that you are in labor? Because only when you are in (active) labor and you do not dilate (OR when there are medical problems), THEN you may end up in a C-section. Just because you have some contractions does not mean that you are in labor. Maybe you are in pre-labor? Maybe in early labor? And in those stages, you do not always dilate. Just 2 weeks ago, we had the case of a woman who was in active labor for 3 hours without any dilation (she was 0 dilated). And then, her dilation suddenly started to progress like crazy... She ended up giving birth to a perfectly healthy baby in a normal delivery. Does this information help you? 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

😅 As a matter of fact, we know quite many men who played games on their cell phone while their partner was in labor.... 😅 Walking during labor is great! ANYTHING which involves movement is great during labor. It helps the baby get into a better position, it helps with dilation, it can help with the pain and thus, it can also shorten labor duration. 😊

Hi there 😊, it depends on how much stress we are talking about. It is absolutely normal to feel some degree of stress. "Nervous" stress can actually help you induce labor. What we don't want is stress that is based on fear, for instance. Because it's that kind of stress which can slow down things or prevent things from happening... 😊

Hi there! 😊 For some reason, your comment was marked as SPAM (we have no idea why...). Therefore, we have not yet responded to it! I have now approved the comment so that you can see it below this video. Thanks SO MUCH for your lovely comment!! Yes, I fully agree! Nathalie is a super sweet lady and I too love her voice very much! 🥰 Yes, so, normally, we start preparing a woman for labor from week 37 onwards with dates and acupressure. The goal is to help the body soften the cervix because once the cervix is soft, it can then focus on the next task, which is thinning the cervix out and dilating it. So this should be the first step. Do you know if your cervix is soft already? In general, please note that week 37 is very early for most women. Most women deliver their baby some time between week 38 and week 42. Therefore, you have to be a bit more patient! But don't worry: things can sometimes go really really fast! Don't worry too much and try to relax! It's much more helpful than worrying 😊 There is also a video in which we teach things that you can to speed up things: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqPImZWrpdybsLs However, please note that all these tools can do is increase your chances of going into labor spontaneously. They can also speed up the time until you go into labor however please note that you will only go into labor once your body is ready for it. Nature takes time! We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!

@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 2 жыл бұрын
Hi there 😊, it's actually quite simple: pitocin is just the synthetic version of oxytocin. In other words: if you go into labor spontaneously, your body will produce oxytocin. If they medically induce you, you will get pitocin (unless they use other means to medically induce you, like synthetic prostaglandins etc.)... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 3 жыл бұрын
Hi there 😊, please note that a baby can NORMALLY be born, even with the cord around the neck... The only problem is that doctors often don't want to take that risk, because their COULD be complications. And if the hospital is not equipped for emergency C-sections then doctors are even more reluctant to letting you have a normal delivery. That said, unfortunately, there is nothing that you can do here. Sometimes, the situation resolves by itself. But we are not aware of any exercises or tools which can help here... Did you talk with your doctor? Will they let you try having a normal delivery? We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby! ❤️

My baby was born just fine with the cord wrapped around her neck twice. Not saying that’s the case for everyone, but it’s definitely possible. They can just monitor the baby’s heart rate closely, which is typically done automatically.

Hi there 😊, yes, in case of a VBAC, it IS recommended to monitor the baby. And yes, there is something that you can do to reduce the stress on your baby: breathing! That's because breathing increases the oxygen supply to the baby during a contraction. And this can reduce the stress on the baby... Check out our mini birthing course about breathing that you can find on our website: www.careaboutlittleones.com We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes Жыл бұрын
Hi there 😊, thanks so much for your lovely feedback!! We are very happy to hear that you find our content helpful! 😊🥰 Regarding your question: Please understand that we are not in the position to tell you, if you are gonna need an induction or not. This is really something that only your doctor can tell you (i.e. the person who is familiar with your pregnancy case). Inductions are mostly done for medical reasons that require that baby to get out of there. We can only tell you this: if your doctor presses for an induction but you think it's not based on solid reasons, get a second opinion by another doctor! As for foods: if you started to dilate already, you really don't need to worry much about what foods to eat. Normally, we recommend dates (unless there are medical reasons why you cannot eat them). However, they can only help soften the cervix but not dilate it. And apparently, your cervix IS soft already. So, if you are dilating already, you really don't need to worry. Your body is already on it! And if your baby is also in a good position for labor AND engaged, then chances are that you will soon go into labor... 😊 So again, we can only recommend talking with your doctor again, if an induction is really required or if it is possible to wait for a natural start of labor - given the fact that you already started to dilate... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi there 😊, please don' be discouraged just yet! First of all, on average, a pregnancy lasts between 38 and 42 weeks. So maybe, your body just needs more time. Second, the biggest part of your dilation happens when you are in labor. But it is different from woman to woman when exactly she goes into labor. That said, there are ways to support that process. In fact, there are several things which have helped other women at this point who were in similar situations: 1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day) 2. Reflexology (same as nipple stimulation: it may not be done with a few minutes per day only) 3. Acupuncture (this can work particularly well if your stress levels are really high; and please note: it has to be acupuncture; acupressure would most probably not help in your case) 4. Exercises on a birthing ball Of course, there is also Castor oil. However, personally, we always treat Castor oil as last resort simply because of the side effects. Also, you can never be sure if it is going to work... Still, it CAN be super effective for labor induction. We talk more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqPImZWrpdybsLs (reflexology, nipple stimulation, Castor oil) kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5jVk4KZaciYmLs (birth ball exercises) Finally, please also try to relax as good as possible! We know, it's not easy. But please try not to put too much pressure on yourself because this would just cause a lot of stress! And stress COULD prevent you from going into labor. So please, try to find ways to relax (meditation, yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, a back massage - whatever you find most relaxing!) And please trust that everything will be fine eventually! We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi there 😊, hiccups in babies are totally normal. However, in very very very rare cases, they COULD mean that cord is somehow compressed. @CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 3 жыл бұрын
Hi there 😊, we can totally understand that you are scared. However, please keep in mind that MILLIONS of women are induced every year and give birth to perfectly healthy babies. Sometimes, there is just no way around an induction, even though we try everything in our power to avoid one... If you do birth ball exercises and yoga, and the things that we show in this video, then you do already a GREAT job preparing for labor! If you are allowed to eat dates, you could also eat dates plus try acupressure (which we show in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqPImZWrpdybsLs). Both has an effect on your cervix and can help increase your Bishop score. A high Bishop score is very beneficial for an induction because then, your cervix is "readier" for labor... Finally, if you don't do so already, you could also do a perineal massage. It cannot only help protect your perineum. Studies also show that it can help shorten the second stage of labor (the pushing phase): kzbin.info/www/bejne/b57SmZ-wYr6Ipa8 Apart from that: stay positive! Don't think about the induction. Hi there Josephine 😊, first of all, it is important that you try to relax! Understandably, you are completely stressed out that you cannot have a normal delivery. However, it could be that stress which prevents you from going into labor in the first place. You have to trust that your body knows exactly what it is doing. 😊 Second, please note that in second and third pregnancies, it is not uncommon for women not to experience any symptoms of labor at all for the longest time. And then all of a sudden, everything goes super fast. Only recently, we met a woman (second-time mom) who told us that she was going to work in the morning, no signs of labor whatsoever. And by 8pm in the evening (on the same day), she held her baby in her arms 😊. So, as we said, it can go REALLY fast! You only need a little bit more patience! And then you will finally hold your sweet little baby in your arms!! That said, some things which have helped other women in similar situations are the following: 1. Hi there! 😊 It depends a bit: in which pregnancy week did they do the ultrasound exam? If they did it sometime before week12/13, then it is advisable to go for the EDD of that scan. If, on the other hand, the scan was done recently, then it might be better to go for the LMP approach. We explain why in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJ6voqqZo9apmqs All the best for you and your baby! ❤️

Hi there 😊, yes, it is absolutely okay to eat during labor as long as it is easy digestible food. Stay away from greasy food! Please note that a dilation of 2-3cm does not mean that you are in labor. Hi there! 😊 First of all, please note that sometimes, a baby's head only engages once the mother is in labor. Admittedly, it mostly happens in second pregnancies, but it can absolutely happen in first pregnancies too. That said, there are ways to help the baby engage. The two exercises which could help with that are: 1. Pelvic rocking on a birth ball (which we explain in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmTWgIKYpr97qLs). 2. Deep squats Finally, please try to relax too! So far, you are "only" 38 weeks pregnant. On average, a pregnancy lasts between 38 and 42 weeks! So, at this point, there is absolutely no need to worry. There is still plenty of time for your baby to engage and for your body to go into labor (unless there are medical reasons for an induction of course)... We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby! ❤️

Hi there 😊, if you have had some contractions already, then it is normally easier to get them going or even intensify them with the help of nipple stimulation. This has helped many women in the same situation. Just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes of stimulation per day. Some women had to do this for 1+ hour per day to make this work... We explain how it works in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5bSpp9vq9qXms0 In that video, we also explain other tools which might help, such as reflexology. And another useful tool are exercises on a birth ball: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5jVk4KZaciYmLs We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi there! 😊 First of all, CONGRATULATIONS from the 2 of us on your newborn!!! 🥳🥳🥳 We hope you both are well and that you are recovering well from your delivery! 😊❤️ Thanks SO MUCH for sharing your case!! It's interesting to see how different women experience labor in different ways. Can we ask: did you have a walking epidural? In other words, were you able to move during the last stage of labor? Or did you have to stay in bed? If you did have to stay in bed, this COULD be the reason why labor slowed down or why your contractions became less effective during the final stage of labor. We will never know. But it does not matter because all that counts is that you are now able to hold your sweet little baby in your arms!! 🥰 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! 😍 Enjoy every minute and try to find some rest too!! ❤️😊😘 P.S.: We are very happy and grateful that you like our videos - thanks SO MUCH for your feedback!! 😊

Does baby moves after fixing head in pelvis
@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! 😊 From week 28 onwards, a baby in the womb is always supposed to move and show some activity. Also, a baby may touch ligaments and nerves in the pelvis once baby has engaged which can cause the vaginal pain that you are feeling. These are called "lightening crotches" and can be normal when your baby has engaged in your pelvis. That said, as a rule of thumb, we recommend talking to your doctor if a baby drops before week 36 because in very very rare cases, it could also be a sign of preterm labor. However, this is really only just a precautionary measure just to make sure that your baby is well! We hope this helps! Wishing you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi there! 😊 Poor you! But please don't give up!! Remember: a pregnancy lasts between 38 and 42 months! Maybe, your baby just needs a bit more time. There are several things which have helped other women in similar situations (given that their cervix was soft at this point): 1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day) 2. Reflexology 3. Acupuncture (mainly addressing stress level; and please note: it has to be acupuncture; acupressure would not help in your case) 4. Exercises on a birthing ball Of course, there is also Castor oil. However, please don't try Castor oil without the approval of your doctor! We talk more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqPImZWrpdybsLs (reflexology, nipple stimulation) kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5jVk4KZaciYmLs (birth ball exercises) We really hope this helps you! Hi there 😊, we have found that, as long as a woman is less than 34 weeks pregnant, an exercise called "pelvic rocking" on a birthing ball is the most effective tool to turn a breech baby. We explain how it works in this video (actually, everything that we explain in this video could help): kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmTWgIKYpr97qLs And then once a woman is 34+ weeks pregnant, we have found that "moxibustion" in combination with breech baby turning exercises is more effective to turn a baby. We explain how this approach works in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m17OmWmkrayeec0 We hope this helps! 😊 All the best for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi there! 😊 Please do NOT worry at all at this point. First of all, we promise you that once you feel (true labor) contractions, you will know it! 😊 Second, please note that on average, a pregnancy lasts between 38 and 42 weeks. Therefore, it could be, that it's just too early for you to feel any contractions! Don't worry, they will start as soon as your body is ready for it! 😊 Finally, there are also tools which could help you speed up the process. @CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 2 жыл бұрын
Hi there 😊, if you don't feel any contractions, you are most likely not in labor (we say most likely because we also had cases of women who WERE in labor although they did not know it. They only had "a funny feeling in their tummy" (that's a quote) 😅)... Please note that sometimes, a woman can also get stuck at a certain dilation. And then it only progresses once labor has started. However, we really would not worry too much because women who are dilated to such a degree as yourself even BEFORE labor starts normally don't have any problems with a spontaneous start of labor... It's just a matter of time... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi there! 😊 Sometimes women go through a period of prolonged pre-labor or early labor. When that's the case, dilation can go really slowly... However, there ARE things which a woman can try in such cases. Based on our observations, the 4 most effective tools in such a situation can be: 1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day) 2. Reflexology 3. We explain more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqPImZWrpdybsLs (reflexology, nipple stimulation) kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5jVk4KZaciYmLs (birth ball exercises) We hope this helps! What about walking after water bag breaks
@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 3 жыл бұрын
Hi there 😊, you can walk after your water breaks. However, keep in mind that your baby is no longer protected from infections. Because of that, they normally induce you if you have not gone into labor within 24 hours after your water breaks. So, please talk with your midwife and ask her about the next steps! Thank you! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️

If the baby is high and head is not engaged even your cervix is dilating. What are chances of delivering normally during labour?
@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 2 жыл бұрын
Hi there 😊, please note that - in general - you can have a normal delivery, even if your baby's head is not engaged and even if you are not dilated at all. That's because once labor starts, your contractions will take care of these things. The only question is: will your labor start spontaneously and will your labor progress? So what we mean here is that sometimes, women whose baby is not engaged find it more difficult to go into labor spontaneously (not so much second-time moms, but mostly first-time moms). That's because in that case, baby's head is not well-applied onto their cervix. As a result, baby's head does not put as much pressure on the cervix, as when baby is engaged. And that pressure can be an important factor to get things started or to make labor progress. But we would not worry about that because, these are exceptions. You can absolutely have a normal delivery! We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

@@shirishasrisailam7494 Hi there! 😊 Okay, we see the problem! Well, first of all, please note that the most reliable way to know the EDD is by an ultrasound before week 12. If they did not give you an EDD based on an ultrasound, then the only thing you can do is using the lmp approach. But you don't need to count the weeks yourself. There are apps and websites out there which do it for you. Just like this one: www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/finding-out/due-date-calculator/ However, please note that you need to know the length of your cycle. If it is anything else then 28 days, you need to type it in so that the program can calculate your EDD accordingly... We hope this helps you! 😊
