Yes and for those who dont… exercise is important for human wellbeing! It doesnt have to be lifting weights. Walk, jog, swim, bike, climb, dance, jump, anything. Literally anything physical when you are feeling down and depressed can help so much for a lot of people. (Obviously there are medical exceptions) As someone who lives with an unspecified anxiety disorder and depression, exercise has genuinely helped me so much over the last 2 months and I wanted to share.

Thanks for this video, I find myself coming back to watch it when I'm struggling with the points made. The big ones for me have been letting go of regrets, realizing nobody owns me, and giving up on overthinking. That last one in particular has plagued me for most of my teen/adult life.
@babybear3430 Жыл бұрын
Growth, both mentally and physically takes time, and through that time, you learn. Espescially overthinking, everyone does that sometimes but some people think a bit more than average and while that can be helpful in some situations such as making the best decisions it kight not be very healthy. We all have something called this "monkey mind", our minds run from topic to topic and thought to thought and sometimes its hard to come back to present. With some practice, we can come to a point where we can understand when our mind is all over the place and take a moment to come back to present. One thing you can do when this happens is focus on your senses; what can you see? What can you hear? IS there any scent surrounding you? can you feel your shirt gracing your skin? When we concentrate on senses we have to focus our mind on them, and only them so you wont be in a swirl of multiple thoughts. And regrets, the past is the past and the most important thing is to know that you cant change what happened in the past. It's now beyond your control and worrying about them will do you no good right? Ofcourse it is hard to let go. However, slowly but surely with time and effort you can let go. It'll be part of your life forever ofcourse but instead of letting it drag you down youll acknowledge the fact that its already over. I hope this helps in some way. Hope you have/had a very good day :)

I for some reason overthink things all the time, and make up whole “plot lines” of what could go wrong in my life. I constantly have regrets and think back to my past and what I SHOULD’VE done, and feeling like I’m stupid and feeling guilty for not doing it before. That’s why I’m the kind of person who wants to think long and hard about things before coming to a decision, so when confronted with something that needs quick action I start to panic or just try speeding up my long thought process. Heck, one of my biggest fears is regretting my actions and living with the consequences. I hate not knowing things that might be vital to prevent regretful choices, and stress over the present, past, and future. I’m trying to break out of the habit, as the video suggested (though I’ve started way before I’ve seen this video) and I’m starting to enjoy myself more. I just quit thinking about the past, but still stress a lot about the future. But I think I’m getting better at remaining calm while processing certain pathways to take in life.

Thank you guys so much for sharing these videos. It helps to be able to sit down for a few minutes and reflect on where my life is, and what I can do to improve it. In June of 2022, I had a nasty lawn mowing accident, which resulted in the partial amputation of my right foot. I was bedridden for a month, and couldn't drive to work. Although my work tried to accommodate me at first, they quickly realized that they didn't have the setup to sustain a work-from-home situation, and I was let go. Fast-forward to present day: I am able to walk again, albeit rather slowly. I can drive myself again, and even managed to finish an online web-development school while I was recovering, so I have the skills and faculties necessary to get myself back on track. Hopefully soon, I'll be able to find a new job, paying at least what I was making before, and finally get back to a more stable living situation again. Thanks again for the inspiration; it's just what I needed today ☺

I completely relate to this video. Going out of your comfort zone and taking action in your life is not an easy process but it's necessary to become the best version of yourself. By discovering new things, meeting new people and strengthening ties with those you already know, expressing your personality and no longer being afraid to express what you think, it's possible to take control of your life. Some time ago I did an Erasmus abroad and it was the most beneficial experience of my life. I have gained a lot of self-confidence and I am no longer afraid or ashamed of being me. You just have to realize that you're the only actor who can dictate your life and that the unknown is not so scary, once we open the door. I really like a song by Taylor Swift that talks about this topic : "You're on your own kid, you always have been but you can face this"

Be kind to yourself. This is something I’m working on. I’m not as abusive toward myself as I once was, but I still could work on this if I make a mistake. Another thing I need to work on is not limiting myself. I don’t doubt myself anymore, but I limit myself from certain things. Like for example, when it comes to my blindness, autism, and CPTSD, I tell myself, ‘no, you’re not allowed to explore things. It’s not ok if you run into things or spill things. You can’t do this even if it’s beneficial to your blindness and autism. It’s not ok to not be ok. Your emotions aren’t valid. In order to fit in with society, you have to not do these things. You can’t use these coping skills out in public, you need to fit in with society. So, no exploring things, no listening to music in public, no crying, no meltdowns, no running into things, don’t use your stress items, don’t rock, don’t sway back-and-forth, don’t hand flap, don’t do these other things even if they are beneficial for your blindness, autism, or CPTSD.

You are an amazing human being with a lot of potential and do wonders and you deserve to be in this world as much as everyone else. Dont EVER doubt your valuable existance on this planet. And dear, everyone have regrets, you, me and everyone. At some point in your lives we might do a mistake which might become a regret later on and thats completely normal. However, one important thing you have to do is to remember that the past is the past and we cant change anything that happened in the past. Worrying about something you cant change will only make u suffer. So slowly but definetely you need to learn to let go. Sometimes holding on hurts more than letting go. Therefore, instead of thinking what you couldve done in the past, focus on what you can do to make ammends and make things better. Life is full of obstacles, tought times may come but I urge you to be strong and be resiliant to them. Its ok to fall as long as u get back on your feet and keep going. Is it normal to feel like your personality changes based on who you're with? I don't know what my personality is, since I feel different ways around different people based on the setting. Sometimes I feel extremely shy and so sncially anxious that I feel my jaw closing, while other times when I feel energetic and happy, I can manage social situations without fear, and flirt with people without problems. Is this normal? Would really help if you could make a video on this
@babybear3430 Жыл бұрын
It's completely normal. Everyone is differant and how you assosciate with them can very from person to person. It makes total sense. Ok lets see; if your with your close friend youll probably talk very casually without any formalities right? that is because that person is someone who is very close to you and you are comfortable to be around that person and have casual convos. On the other hand, your personality will differ when u assosicate someone like your professor or boss right? One reason for this is because they are in a differant status than you and well, basically because you need to be more respectful and formal. Not just this your interest of even your friend might differ from friend to friend. Youll be more open and cheerful with your best friend while you might not talk as much fondly with another friend. So dont worry its completely normal to be have differantly with differant people. Hope this helps even a bit hope you have/had a very good day.

Kind of hard to let go of the past when it occasionally comes back from work to remind you of the pain and misery
@purpleserenity137 Жыл бұрын
It can be. If it does return, just experience the feeling. It's your body trying to work through those emotions you may have not been able to process before. Take the moment to analyze your emotions and ask yourself, why am I feeling this way? I've dealt with a lot of things in my past, and often wondered so many things about how and why it happened but with me thinking about my past, allowing the old emotions to flow through, it gave me the chance to process my emotions so I can move on and focus on what is important. And if old feelings still arise, I take a moment to breathe and tell myself that it will be okay. By trying to stuff those feelings down, I would think I would be denying myself of experiencing my own feelings. I guess, in a way, it allows me to grieve for what is gone and make space for what is to come.

The last two points are the hardest ones for me. I keep underestimating my strength and I seem to find something new to worry about constantly

I've been feeling stuck for this past 6 months. I isolate myself and everyday feels like hell because I can't stop overthinking about the future and being depressed about my past. I know I should stop this, but it is so hard even just to get up from my bed

I'm a student trying to get my life back on track I'm struggling a little I tell myself I'll change but the next day I tend to do the same mistakes I'm so tired of it but I am truly working now I'm not at my best but I'm doing all I can but it's still small and I keep thinking about those times I didn't change will it make a difference now ? I'm so plagued by many thoughts this has helped me and motivated me to keep trying to change my life despite failing to do so many times and still work on it
