Nina, love your ‘Red Elevator’. Your ideas and suggestions, not to mention your wardrobe are priceless. We recently bought an older and very outdated house with great architecture and are almost finished a reno. My kitchen now has a historic Williamsburg blue paint color and the countertop and backsplash are slabs of lightly veined quartz. I can’t wait to see the finished piece. So happy I went a bit out of the box and added color and texture. All my walls are an off white that is gorgeous.

Love your content! A game changer for my kitchen is cordless lamps! They come in all styles and prices. Many well known, quality brands offer beautiful cordless lamps. You can source them online, but I caution you to see them in person. Many are too good to be true. And I use them in other rooms as well: tucked into a bookcase, on a fireplace mantel. ❤ you Nina!

YES!!! just had my bottom cabinets painted black!! and changed my dull knobs to gold 7' handles. Stunning & sexy!!. I had my painters paint my new pendant lights Gold to match. Yes you can paint anything. thank you for always keeping us invested in STYLE!

My main kitchen is beautiful. Especially after I got down and dirty, painting out my lower cabinets Behr’s Carbon black in high gloss. Myself. I kept the top cabinets cream. But the size of the cabinet openings and drawers are so small! It’s an organization nightmare. I’m renting, so tearing them out is not an option. Argh. I love mood lighting. Everywhere. I don’t like motion activation. My house is haunted. I’m thinking it would turn on randomly and freak me out! I just have a small lamp with an LED nightlight bulb I just leave on, on my kitchen counter. For my backsplash, I used metal signs with black and white pictures of my historical town. Art in the kitchen is a novel idea, maybe not everyone’s style. I like the aluminum posters because they are water resistant.
