Even when the slower player doesn't die when being left behind, it really sucks when someone just rushes ahead of the group. They just solve the dungeon, kill every enemy, hoard the loot and impatiently bounce at the door to the boss room - unless there is no door and they just trigger the cutscene and pull everyone into it. This can only be redeemed by having everyone else co-op properly, right before the boss is defeated, and kick the rusher from the mission, leaving him without the important reward. There really is no better feeling.

DbD is always a tough, contextual one. If no one's doing repairs, you're losing and in order to rescue a survivor, another survivor needs to not repair. And when you rescue someone from the hook, they're actually closer to death, which is distastrous if the killer is nearby and you can't properly defend the rescuee. Then again, it's *usually* because the other survivors couldn't be bothered with you in the first place. Solo queue life...

Alternatively when you're in cover and a teammate pushes you out of cover, into the line of fire, just so they can take your spot.

While it was fun in retrospect, I think that if you’re playing a co-op mode like in Doom (1993), you shouldn’t decide to run headfirst into any room, grab all the supplies, then run into the next room only to die almost immediately to either the demons in the level, traps, or your rocket launcher’s splash damage, which in turn causes you to lose all your stuff and forces the other team members to help you get better firepower while lacking the resources to do so. Yep, my friend did this to me.

One of the more aggravating co-op behaviors I've encountered is when someone just doesn't take time to understand how to get something out a side mission or quest. In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for example, you can get certain things if you go about a parallel quest in a certain way. Instead, many online players will just bum rush the target without understanding the procedure. It's super unhelpful when you're to get the drop and don't have someone to regularly work with.

I know in the video you talked about people running ahead and getting their teammates killed, but the thing that I see more often, especially as someone who tends to main support classes/builds in co-op games, is people running ahead of the team, and more importantly out of the healer's range, and getting themselves killed. I have one friend, whom I love very dearly, but they do this all the time. That leads into a second one actually, overconfidence. In regards to that same friend, whom I repeat, I love dearly, we have a bit of a joke in our friend group that the moment they say something along the lines of "Don't worry about it" or "I got this" the it is is most definitely time to worry about it. I know I already gave two things, so I might as well go for a full trio, right? My other main co-op pet peeve are the people who tell you to play a game that they play because they want to play it with you. So you get the game, boot it up, connect with them and start playing, and since you've just started playing this game it's only natural that you might ask, "Hey, how do I do this thing?" and they proceed to repeatedly refuse to help you learn how to play the game in any way. Like, come on, you were so gung ho about getting me to play this game and you're not even gonna help me play it? At least send me a youtube tutorial link or something.

The Mario Party one reminded me of when my family did a game where the goal for one team member was to sabotage the team and the other was to win, both teams had this. Unfortunately for me, my Mom didn't quite understand the idea, either that or I should never have agreed to let our Mom be on the same team as the Youngest, meanwhile my sister was a master of sabotaging me. Honestly I'm surprised the gap was only 2 stars... and that I got any stars at all for that matter since the game seemed to want me to lose too 😂

The problem with among us is that it’s not cooperative if you’re paranoid enough

Games with same-screen co-op are usually easier on the vision that split-screen, but do usually have that flaw of one player being able to eff the other one up (or both of them at once!) by insistently going the wrong way. I have to say, I was that person running too far ahead when my dad and I played through Diablo 3 and he kept getting teleported back to me, but it was also a convenient feature at times; when one of us would doze off on our game nights, the other player could effortlessly drag their character around and keep getting them XP until they woke back up. Good times.

I once tried to do a Co-op move in a Mortal Kombat game... It ruined the Friendship.

Yes, Mortal Kombat does seem to have a good way of doing that. lol

@@NehnBellanaris I really annoyed my cousin in mortal kombat. I was not very good at doing proper combos or fatalities, but I learned I was very good as spamming moves the first time I ever tried playing against her. I took her, a much more skilled Mortal Kombat player down multiple times in rapid succession with my spamming and quickly learned she did not like losing...
