They played in the East of Scotland League, but now play in the Lowland League (Tier 5 of 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 football). I remember there was an online petition to get the city council to review the stadium plans, I signed and I still have the letter from the Merton Civic Centre asking me if I want to present my case for the stadium in under 3 minutes in a meeting held on the 10th of December 2015 at 7:15 pm. Venezuelan guy here! The Gaiteros is the basketball team and the baseball team is Aguilas. My ears perked up when you mentioned the country where I was born. Fun story, when I my local team won the first division title nobody was even aware they won. That is how much football is followed in Venezuela. I do like to say that my dad, an Italian immigrant to Venezuela, was probably one of the first people who brought the sport to the country. Compare to baseball football barely gets any attention and the domestic leagues are riddled with corruption. The baseball league is too, but to a lesser extent.
