my dad had an old 4 door green nova. It saved his life one morning. in dense fog a guy in a duster went to pass a car and hit my father head on. My dad woke up with the chevy bowtie impression in his chest and a cut on his forehead. He was sore for a few days. I will always say that this nova saved his life.

I think Jenny silences any possible laughter at unfashonable hats unless she is among those laughing. You did somehow pick the right neighborhood too, most such neighborhoods are at least 20 miles from the auto parts store. Though there may be some in which you can walk to the junkyard.

I've dealt with wrong title, signature not signed at the sellers line where it should be.dmv will quote how much they charge, sometimes notary stamp needed to verify signatures. 4 doors not as cool as 2 but old gm A body wagons have 4 and can be cool and different. Buyer can do whatever they want to it once it's there's. Not too many survivers like that above Dixie line.salt/rust.i would have put a set of early rallies on it and use as daily driver.lexan to replace missing back glass.

I don't want to see demo anymore, especially not on that scale, so from the revival perspective, that was definitely a failure, though I don't know what chance it would have had for someone else to come along and save it from the crusher if Chris had walked on by. It might be infinitesimal, but it isn't zero. The thing to do is, once you take it, price it just out of reach of the scrapers and demo drivers and keep working on it until it is worth that price. The objective for me is charitable. that being the working poor who can't afford the rents on the bus line, and for them, the priorities are reliability and mileage, plus snow traction. What strikes me as the wierdest is that Junk Yard Digs does stuff for charity, but never revive cars for charitable purposes, though there are charities who provide cars to the working poor, and vans to the homeless. I just never see this connection made to revival mechanics, even those doing other charities. The V8 in that Nova has no practical purpose though, unless it is to tow trailers, in which case it needed a hitch.

Many years ago I had to rescue a car which had tried to drive up a road which many Land Rovers would have struggled with. They were trying to get to a mansion 15 miles away from civilisation in the hills of Perthshire, Scotland. The exhaust had been ripped off and the driver tried to keep going, of course the exhaust system was wrapped around the back axle with one part in front of the passenger side rear wheel and behind the opposite rear wheel. The car was immovable. So we lifted the rear of the car up using the crane on the back of 1943 Dodge ambulance convertion and used an ox-acetylene torch to cut off the exhaust and fitted a complete new exhaust system by the lifting process. Success!

Good to see cars like being rescued from being turning into scrap. Reminds me of my father's old 75 Nova he had. And I hear ya about vehicles tellin a story. Everyone tells me to fix the holes and paint my 75 Fury.......or at least clean the mold off the body. I'm like.....no. if I do that, no one will ever believe she sat 21 years in someone's yard. My car tells a story when you see it. I love the dirt and rust (patina) lol. You expect to see nice shiny cars on the road, not piles of junk. Lol. I like seeing cars pass by that makes me think "how's that thing moving?" LOL. I truly believe there's lots of "will it run" cars around here on the road. I did the same thing with my 76 Lincoln continental. The guy that bought it (Suicide Steve) HAD to have won a derby with that. Biggest tank of a car I ever had.

Crushing Metal, Sink the Pedal, couldn't say it better. The song, voice and guitar, just right. Good job you too.

This channel has everything, fault finding, fault fixing and perseverance. Then a night out at the demolition derby. We get to see gus have a laugh, we get to hear Jen sing. Can’t get better than all that. Another great job. I will tune into Bryan’s channel and give it a go. I tried out Pole Barn after a previous recommendation and it is fantastic. In the UK so we need our spirits lifted a little, this did the job.

My favorite video. Maybe because I'm partial to late 70's Nova's and GM's. But also the fact that it sounded bad-ass.

When I was in High School back in the 70"s we had a Coats 10-10 at the gas station I worked at right Route 80. I changed 100's of tire on that machine. That machine probably changed 25 tires a day 7 days a week Nice find!!!!

Enjoyed the vedio. Jen has a voice and beauty of a star. I haven't seen a vedio of Chris singing but he surely plays the guitar like a pro.

I have a friend that had a 1978 Nova...4-door, originally a 305 V-8 (a lot had the six in them). He bought it when it was about 5-years old...used it as a work-commuter. SIX ENGINES later, no telling how many sets of tires, oil changes...a drunk hit him, totalled the old car...that was 2015...he owned it for 32-years, and by his best-guess, it had around 2-million miles on it. He admitted, he always hated the car, but it was an 'undying cockroach' that drove well, rode well, didn't stand out, being a 4-door, no one wanted to steal it...it was like 'a granny's car'...that worked. He's tried for several years to find another body to 'have it back again', but there just aren't that many out there that don't need a 'total rebuild' to even put on the road again.
