In this video Chris asked me to give him a hand in helping him pull out an uprooted tree stump from a property he works at. I brought the Sure-Trac dump trailer and by utilizing the custom built log arch we were able to yank the stump, load onto the trailer, and dump all within about an hour!

2nd to comment. My back hurts just watching. I'm old and have asthma. I used to be up for projects like that.

It was a fun little job! No backs were hurt in the making of this video! The winch did all the work!

Are you using the trailer battery for double duty? As in running the winch and trailer? I liked the video alot, been a sub for a little while. Between you and outside with scheib im sold on a rugged made.

So it kinda of depends on the situation. Yes the trailer battery directly powers the winch no matter what as was the case in this video. However, when I am doing a lot of pulling I have 0 gauge welding cable ran from my 2 interstate truck batteries to the back of the truck with an Anderson connector which can then be hooked up directly to the trailer battery to charge/power the winch. The trailer battery also has a dedicated plug in battery charger for when it’s parked as well as a solar panel that is continuously charging the battery on the road. This is all in addition to the trickle charge that it receives through the 7 pin electrical hookup to the truck. Lots of redundancies so that I never run the battery dead!

That wood recycling plant looks very much like the plant where Hometown Acres gets his IBC totes from. At that plant they get bulk dye in the totes and they then become excess to their needs.

You’re right Alan it does! While I was there I was looking to see if they had any totes and I didn’t see any...I’ve been getting them for free from a guy lately so I’m good there!

I bet most tree companies would have charged an arm and a leg to remove that stump.

I’m sure they would have! It was not easily accessible especially with the row of hemlocks there!
