Interesting how the setup acted I had a well setup 3v making mabye 450whp and was running 11.5s and I could dump the clutch at 4k rpm’s and spray the nitrous as soon as my foot came off the clutch and it would just take off straight and I could bang 2nd really fast

I have a 08 gr500 with the same vmp gen 2, 2,5 pulley. I ran a10.50 last night at 131 mph at test n tune. It’s really hard to drive these cars into the 10s I’m about to auto swap mine and build the motor

Why are you short shifting it to second gear? Let it bounce once or twice at the dev limiter then shift to second. That’s killing time. Also don’t dump the clutch, try and ride it a bit off the gate

Well, rev limiter was set to 7k by the previous owner. So letting it bounce at 7k under power will blow it up. Working on figuring out a retune to make it safer so I can drive it a little better out of the hole. Driving with a bias ply vs a radial, the idea is to let the tire do the work with a controlled spin. So if it blows the tire off, lower the tire pressure or lower the launch rpm. Obviously lowering launch rpm isnt ideal. If it bogs with the 2 step either raise tire pressure or raise 2 step launch rpm. So it's a tire pressure game right now. Ive been focusing on getting the shocks setup properly, the last few runs they seem to be good now. Next up is getting tire pressure dialed in. There is still a lot of work to be done to get the setup consistent and on me to drive it better.
