There were side windows in the series that don't exist in the actual house, as it is a town house in New York that sits smack next to a church at 72nd and Park. Also the front door is down a long-ish hall, not so close to the main room as in the series. A friend listed it for sale a few years ago, and took me through the entire place.

Growing up, my grandma used to always wear Halston perfume, & I knew about his iconic Studio 54 era fashions, but I never really knew that he did decor & other stuff. Ewan MacGregor really got the voice spot on!

You are all incorrect. They did not film in the actual townhouse. The set was built inside a house in Red Hook Brooklyn, NY. They did not have the budget to build on sound stage. Halston's townhouse was purchased by designer Tom Ford and he lives in it.
