@@bluedahliacharles I think they recreated it on a set. There were side windows in the series that don't exist in the actual house, as it is a town house in New York that sits smack next to a church at 72nd and Park. Also the front door is down a long-ish hall, not so close to the main room as in the series. A friend listed it for sale a few years ago, and took me through the entire place.

Growing up, my grandma used to always wear Halston perfume, & I knew about his iconic Studio 54 era fashions, but I never really knew that he did decor & other stuff. Ewan MacGregor really got the voice spot on!

You are all incorrect. They did not film in the actual townhouse. The set was built inside a house in Red Hook Brooklyn, NY. They did not have the budget to build on sound stage. Halston's townhouse was purchased by designer Tom Ford and he lives in it.

Warning: Lots of Millennials and Zoomers in the comments that are hyper-focused on a Netflix movie and Ewan McGregor they just watched, and the not the cultural significance of Halston himself. Typical. PS: carpeting was preferred and widely used in US households for decades up until the late 90s. His apartment was not uncommon including the stairs.
