Wow, that's a pretty good size town. I'm surprised Rutland was so big. Vermont seems such a safe state. No crime. Friendly people.

I live in Chester Vt…born and raised. My grandparents were from Rutland, always remember the coolness of it shopping and diners in the 80s and 90s. Recent visit and lunch on a beautiful fall day 2024…wife and I normally don’t do NH upper valley or Keene area but an old school trip to Rutland seemed like fun. Mistake …homeless everywhere, voting has consequences. This old Vermonter not impressed
