Mike: Watching you use the post hole digger brought back a great memory....when I was about 10 years old, my dad decided to fence a portion of our property. He laid out the locations of the posts and handed my brother and I a post hole digger. He said simply, "get started!". No instructions. We had to figure out how to use that thing efficiently. And we did!! Thirty or so holes later ( probably at least a week or two), and we were done. I don't ever recall being that sore! When all the posts were set, he made us step back and look at it.....and said "you guys did that"! That meant more than anything coming from a man who did not give praise easily. It was one of my proudest moments as a kid. Thanks for the memory......🙏❤️

Good morning Melissa and Mike, you both are having so much fun working together ! You’re really enjoying your play/work and see what it is doing for you both and your families. Such a great blessing for all. Building the smaller shed will give you lots of ideas for the buildings to come, oh what fun you will have. Thanks for sharing with us and hello to the rest of the family !👍👍

Hi there M&M Just an idea because you don't have enough projects going on . take your red pine slabs and screw them up under your hunting building . it would get rid of the slabs , hide the cabin legs. and even more stiffen it up a bit . it would make base look like a log cabin ,might even store a tote or 2 of wood under there . win win win another nice show love the dogs also john

There was a lot to notice on this video. Mikes loader skill was the first one. The two dogs that need a younger playmate was second. The third one was Hannah. I would never want her to move out. She is a sweetheart. Mike seems to leave the cold engines choked a few seconds longer than I might. Maybe they stall if he doesn’t though. Great video again.

Stumbled upon your channel about 4 months ago and have not missed a single episode since. Love them. If you don't mind a suggestion on what to do with the cutoffs from your wood mizer saw mill I think this would be a great use for them. If you have a local scouting camp this is exactly the type of wood they can use for camp fires. Our local state parks do this and it makes a very good use of what otherwise would be scrap. Keep up the good work. Hello Hunter.

I saw a neat trick on a small=scale post digging operation where the auger was used to drill the opening and a shop vac was used instead of the manual post hole digger. Don't use a good filter on the shop vac and be prepared to empty frequently. You also need 120v access but it is faster!! (Probably won't work on shingle bundles however!)

watching your video may I say just 2 things, first use some blocking and get your mill higher, at least a foot off the ground. Your back will thank you for it. 2nd build yourself a log rack so you can load your logs onto a rack instead of onto you mill. Then you just roll the logs from the rack and avoid any possible damage to the mill. I have a LT15 Electric.

Wood shed build got me to thinking about the equipment shed I "need". For giggles, or to get depressed, I asked a local shop building company to quote a 24 x 60 3 sided one with the bay clearance at 12'. For a mere $21,000.00 it could be mine. Also ran the numbers for the material with me building it with a gravel floor. About $6000.00.With a concrete floor about $12,000.00.Or I could just keep painting and making sure what I want to store in the shed will be OK in the elements.....

I agree Mike, blue skies & SUNSHINE makes a HUGE difference ...producing vitamin D and serotonin. When sunlight hits your skin, it makes vitamin D, using up chloresteral, and vitamin D also improves your brain function. That, my friend, is the reason why you "feel better". You didn't know WHY, but now you do know WHY you feel better as SPRING is approaching. It is the scientific reason why. YAY!

How's the puppy quest going? Have yinz approached Tammy Tomlinson in Ligonier, PA? She's the owner of Hillock Golden Retrievers kennel. She also happens to be the owner of Daniel, the golden retriever who took best in breed and best in class at Westminster last month. A puppy from her kennel would be an awesome addition to the Morgan clan. I believe her dogs also hold dual championships from field trials.
