Nice project.. my 1/2 ton 72 C10 Long-bed FARM TRUCK also had those saddle tanks.. as well as tilt column and 3/4 ton overload leaf springs.. it was what's referred to as a "Heavy Half".. lol. It was my daily driver for 25 years of active duty service to and from base. Now I'm about to show her some love with all new modern parts... she will look classic but in essence be a brand new truck. Hated to get rid of those tanks as having 50 gallons of gas was mighty nice.. expensive.. but nice... but in the end I was having to change my fuel filter on a monthly basis with all the RUST that was coming out of them... so off they came. We're gonna be doing a frame up job on it here in a few... already have a new 5.3 LS and 4L60 COMPLETE setup to go into her. I'm gonna keep mine a long-bed though as I'm not wanting to street rod it just bring it into the modern age. Yes, the drum rear end is gonna go in place of a posi track and disk brake setup... along with tubular suspension ALL AROUND. She will ride like a Cadillac yet haul anything you want. I'll be following your project as I really enjoy watching stuff like this.. not to mention the possible connections/networking you can create in a community that values these historical work horses.

Yes that’s pretty awesome man!! Yep I’m here if you have any questions please let me know. This is c20 3/4 ton but I’m doing a conversion all the way around. I have a 12 bolt posi from a 72 blazer, 6.0 4L80 combo, CPP big break kit, and gonna lay frame on PB Fab front and rear drop members. Appreciate the sub, I’ll try to not disappoint lol

@@ciscomatic_c10 The ONLY way you'd disappoint me would be IF you didn't complete the project.😱 Doing something right/wrong is a matter of personal preference so NEVER let ANYONE on here tell you otherwise. I only say this because I'm SURE at some point the trolls will come knockin. I'm super excited to see your vision unfold and to watch you tackle some of the gray areas that will pop up!
