I listen to many different history podcasters from the famous (Mike Duncan - Dan Carlin etc.) to many smaller or more obscure ones. In my honest opinion what separates the the popular and well respected podcasters from the rest is multifaceted... Well researched, as it lends itself to trust with the listener. Well written, to engage the listener with good storytelling. Interesting topics, even if it's about a familiar person or event the storyteller finds different angles or viewpoints or details to give fresh perspectives.
