Always good to get a new tip. I like the idea of the hot glue, better than the old newspaper layer trick. Gonna try it!

dave b. Thank you so much Dave. Can I please ask am I being too basic? I know they are aimed at the beginners. However I’m getting feedback from experienced turners saying they are gaining from them. Cheers Tony

Hi Tony, Another great video in this series. Will you be showing using a tenon rather than a mortice for the bottom of the bowl? Cheers, Huw
@tonymeadley84444 жыл бұрын
Hi Wooden-It-Be-Nice personally I don’t use a tenon on the bottom of a bowl as I find it has to be removed and it can be uneven as a foot. If you put a mortise on the base you get a perfect seating. Cheers Tony

Hi Tony Great video once again i was told that you can remove the glue block by heating up the glue and pulling it off instead of parting it off have you ever tryed that cheers Ian
@tonymeadley84444 жыл бұрын
ian mills I’ve never tried it. However I will try it as it will be easier than parting it off. I will let you know the outcome. Cheers Tony

Great tips Tony, the son in law is taking a Beech tree out of his garden at the weekend, It's got some fantastic crotches in it, I know your accent (smoggie) is from the north east but I don't know if you actually still live up here, If you do would you like some, in exchange would you make a bowl for my daughter..?? we live near Stanley in north west Durham...Allen.
