@@deanwolfechannel On balance I think the 720 - with its added feature of being able to store (10) loops, plus clearer mode lighting (I'm colour blind!) and notwithstanding the other features - would be my preferred choice as a first looper pedal. Thanks again.

Thanks! I’m ‘graduating’ up from 2 Dittos to this 720 thanks to you. I want memory slots for great loops, but I never could navigate smoothly on the Boss rc-500. Just too complex for my brain in live situations. 720 sounds ‘just right’.

awesome. I'm curious, has the pandemic had anything to do with your taking up an instrument or trying out a looper?

@@deanwolfechannel I play violin in a band and have been experimenting with different electric guitar pedals over the past couple of years. I wanted to add a looper to my board for a while, but it was on the back burner because I was so busy! The pandemic has definitely given me the most time i've had at home to practice in 10-15 years. and it was definitely a motivating factor to buy one now-- knowing I'd actually have time to master the gear when i got it!

So it can't do continuous looping between channels* it seems.. i mean: record on channel 1 -> playback > select channel 2 while playing channel 1 and preparing it for record > immediately auto changes to channel 2 after channel 1 playback finished and start recording WITHOUT STOP. Same for playback between channels nonstop. Can play another preselected channel after finish the current one? Then if this device can't do effective multi channel/layer looping, what other device can do that? I'm in the search. *when im talking about channels im not refering to the stereo ones(L or R), im talking about the memory ones.

I wonder if its possible to stop the recording with the right "stop" button, just as stopping when playing back. I want to be able to record backings for guitar solos on the fly, since the parts the solos go over mostly are used in the song before. but sometimes they are not directly in front of the solo. so I want to be able to prerecord the backing, without auto-playing it immediately after recording. Is this possible with the stop button?

Yes, that’s exactly posible. Just tried it in my pedal and it works like that

I have this pedal and im running into an issue where if I loop one layer, I'll try to loop the second layer but the pedal will automatically start the second loop when it repeats the first loop. In other words I cant do loops that are longer than the duration of the first loop because it will just keep replaying the second loop before I stop the recording. Does this make sense? Im stuck!
@MasterStratocaster92 жыл бұрын
The first loop dictates the length of the loop.

Could you create long loop with this, for example, could you loop an entire song (4-5 minutes loop)?
@glenforde65583 жыл бұрын
You've got 12 minutes.
@tylerh48773 жыл бұрын
You have 12 minutes TOTAL. So if you record a 4 minute loop, you now have a total of 8 minutes left to either record on top of your base loop, or record new loops in additional memory slots. So if you loop a rhythm section for one minute, then record a minute of effects on top of it in the same memory slot, you have used two minutes of memory. If you then record a 30 second lead over all of that you have used 2'30". If you switch to a different memory slot and record a different loop for 2 minutes, you have now used 4'30".
@i6g7f Жыл бұрын
@@tylerh4877 as far as I've learned, overdubbing does NOT consume memory since it replaces/cumulates into same amount of memory as used before in the original track.
