Dan you are the real deal. I feel sorry for these newbee truck drivers that think all they have to do is turn the key and go. I'm a retired driver the days of paper logs and no GPS. You had to stop at a truck stop and use a payphone to call snd get directions. Drove an old cab over Pete. Many blessings to you Dan. I relive my glory days through you.

Great job diagnosing the problem. Nothing at Peterbilt is $50.00 🤣 zip tie the lines together but not too tight can't really do much for them. The future truck driver is in a lot of trouble. They won't be able to fix anything.. thanks for the video! Hi Bailey!

Dan, looks like those valves allow you to return fuel to either tanks. If you remove a tank for whatever reason you close the return valve to that tank......Just a guess

I just replaced all this and I wished mine had ball valves on it. I was told my splitter valve was bad and that’s why my tanks were not equalizing. So I replaced that and fuel lines too. Thought it was fixed but it still was not equalizing. Ended up being the pickup tube in the tank was broke at the fitting. What should have been a $115 fix ended up being around $800. At least my fuel lines and splitter are new.

You can take comfort that the part you bought from Peterbilt is probably of higher quality than what you get from Amazon, even though they may both be built in China, the parts you get from Amazon and eBay are of extremely low quality these days. They would appear to come out of the worst factories. Not all parts coming out of China are of the same quality.

I think after 20 years I'm finally done with trucking. Just no more challenges anymore. Did everything up to the largest truck's and projects. Plowed snow, backed into the toughest dock in Chicago during Rush hour... Just been there done that. Time for something new. Remember going up hills so steep you have to keep the booster axle down 😂😂😂 Another time pouring a foundation and I could see the dirt crumbling away. Delivered to Navy Pier and operated a crane right on the lake front. Anyone else got suggestions on what to do when you're bored of a profession?
