My five year old granddaughter watched this video with me, she was a bit scared for you when you were in the tunnel. She just commented that you were better drivers than us because you didn’t crash like we do, then ….. BANG!!! 😱 😂 Glad you’ enjoyed the tunnel 😘

Hi Paul, Anthony and Dexter, I found your channel just a few days ago and have been binge watching your vlogs, I am a great fan of Foxes Afloat, Welldeck Diaries and Boating beyond , so you are in my top ten list as well now. Love your boat and the colour is fab, love the name Morning Star to, I have visited the Lakota people in North and South Dakota for 15 years until I stopped 6 years ago, but you may find it interesting that they refer to Morning Star as , What does Morning Star mean in Native American? Image result Native American symbols are geometric portrayals of celestial bodies, natural phenomena and animal designs. The Morning Star symbolizes hope and guidance. The morning star is the brightest star in the sky at dawn. ... The Great Plains Indians honor the morning star as a sign of courage and purity of spirit. And a well know chief was .. Although he was known as "Dull Knife" (or Motšêške Ôhnêxahpo in Cheyenne, a translation of his Lakota name) to local settlers, U.S. military leaders, and other American Indians, his Cheyenne name is translated as "Morning Star". ... Morning Star (chief) you may already know this but thought it worth mentioning. The Morning Star (Adapted from Lakota Life by Ron Zeilinger) The morning star. Just before the sun rises, there is a star standing alone, shining brightly in the east. Lakota refer to this beautiful sight as the Morning Star. This star announces the coming of sun and light to the earth; it heralds the dawn. Because of its great importance in the gift of each new day, the morning star is often used in designs and decorations. Black Elk spoke to the star as follows: "Morning Star, there at the place where the sun comes up, you who have the wisdom which we seek, help us in cleansing ourselves and all the people, that our generations to come will have light as they walk the sacred path. You lead the dawn as it walks forth, and also the day which follows with its light which is knowledge. This you do for us and for all the people of the world, that they may see clearly in walking the wakan - holy - path, that they may know all that is holy, and that they may increase in a sacred manner ..." This is from the St Joseph Indian school a place I have visited several times. So your Boat name has strong spiritual connections, thank you for the beautiful scenery, this is my passion to, and gratitude Anthony as a NHS worker ( and good cook ) I look forward to catching up to present day and staying in sinc with your futur volgs, many thanks Maureen

Wow what a fantastic journey. The tunnel was incredible, so many different surfaces and wow it was just awesome to watch. (I had to control how many times I said “wow” here!) I kept thinking of the building of the pyramids, what an incredible feat of construction. Sorry about the boo-boos to the boat, they will add a bit of character and always a conversation piece about the time you went through the Tunnel. Lovely to see Dexter looking so well, and enjoying a bit of ice cream. I have quite a few videos to catch up on, working seven days a week is getting to be a drag. Looking forward to enjoying more of your adventures. Anthony, I hope you are feeling better, be careful and Stay safe.

Credit where credit is due. You were very brave taking your lovely boat through Standedge tunnel. A few scuff marks is par for the course. Its a bit like parking your brand new car in a supermarket car park well away from other cars, only to find when you return that two other cars have parked on either side of you despite there being loads of empty spaces elsewhere. Another interesting and memorable vlog. Can't wait for the next adventure squeezing through the locks in towards Huddersfield and beyond. Particularly as you go through my home town of Mirfield which is renowned for its many flower displays maintained by volunteer local residents. A new canal and new adventures.

Once again loved the video without music, just hearing the voices and boat noises as you went through the tunnel. Such a marvelous historical artifact. I always figure something new and shiny isn't really fully mine till I put a few good dings in it! I had a daft friend who was so nervous about dinging up his new car that one day he went out and banged on it with hammer so he wouldn't nervously await his first dings! He then had to take it to a repair shop. We laughed and laughed. :) Thanks again for the "visit".

Paul, Anthony, another excellent Vlog. Fascinating stuff going thru the Standedge Tunnel. I think I would get a bit claustrophobic myself. I liked the steady constant drone of the engine reverberating off the wall of the tunnel, which was reassuring. CRT probably let you take over as they knew it was coming up to the tricky part of the tunnel for steering (I jest). Well done Paul on the final 30 minutes in the tunnel, it must be very difficult to concentrate in that combined space. Are there any reports of anything supernatural in the tunnel? Dexter loved his Ice Cream. What a nice bus ride back to get the car. So nice to see Dexter waiting for his Dad at the end of the Vlog. Well done guys, you smashed it with this Vlog.

A damp but interesting trip, almost like riding the ghost train at the fair, but more bangs and crashes. Anthony sitting inside looking out with halo effected vision must have really enjoyed the trip. Michael and Jo from Minimal List were seemingly more interested in the fish and chip shop in Diggle, amazing food they both raved about. You'll be days away now, so will miss out on this most outstanding delicacy. It's funny, their dog George doesn't like tunnels either. Many thanks for a brilliant vlog, take care.

Paul & Anthony......I must say that was very interesting. When you're dealing with 17 tons of steel, and no water level visibility, the slightest move of the tiller, in such a narrow space, can be hazardous, for even the most experienced boatman. I would have been Anthony in this situation, inside and leaving it up to the professionals. Well, gentleman thanks for another interesting vlog, on the Canals of the English Waterways. Take care gentlemen, and I'll see you again next week. Respectfully Jessiah.....PS..I can imagine, being inside the boat was even more nerve-racking for you Anthony, but someone had to comfort Dexter.

Thank you for another lovely vlog. I was feeling cluastrophobic watching you go through the tunnel, let alone go through myself! I really thought the navigation light or screwdriver was going to fall in the canal when you were re attaching it. When you explained you heard a crash and thought Anthony meant that he had fallen into the boat, i remember once hearing someone ask, "why do divers fall backwards out of the boat?" .....Because if they fell forwards they would still be in the boat! haha Best wishes :)

Hi Blake, thanks for watching , the tunnel was amazing. I was the only person on the bus and I was out of breath after running for the bus. Normally I would wear it, but you do see less and less people doing so. I still wear my mask when shopping. Hope you are keeping well, stay safe 👍

Hey Blake. Paul did say it was it was a bit disorientating. Dexter loves Icecream and when we went through Stanley Ferry we pulled up to a canal side shop to get him a Doggy icecream bless him. Covid restrictions have pretty much been lifted now and mask wearing is advisable but not compulsory. To be honest, I still usually wear one in supermarkets. Fingers crossed things improve for you guys too. Take care ❤️
